Best quote of 2018 so far.... Outside Fair Chase for P&Y and B&C, so your booner will actually not be a booner... Ed F

Take your boots off and put on a second pair of socks. Your footprint is smaller and more flexible and you'll move much slower to avoid the crunchies and sharp things. That's the quietest way unless you can fly. Ed F -

This is funny and not true with P&Y and B&C official measurers. I'll preface this by saying that I don't know what SCI's scoring rules and procedures are. The official measurer does not have the final say so when scoring an animal. The score has to be scrutinized and approved by Records Director and staff at each organization. They don't get to make up and follow their own rules... Each organization has a large measuring manual with procedures to follow. The P&Y rule on the original posters question is that if it is a large enough bump or protuberance, the circumference measurement is taken above it. For B&C a method using calipers is done to not include the inflated circumference in the score. Either way, the inflation is deducted in the final score. Ed F

I filled my tag the other day with this guy. I had passed on two bigger bucks on opening day and decided this one was the one on day three. Also, a bonus coyote a couple days ago. Called him in close for a shot. My 36th coyote with a bow. Ed F

Thanks and Merry Christmas. I've been bowhunting coyotes for over 20 years... My secret to success is time in the woods and leaving the rifle at home. BTW, I know a few guys who bowhunt coyotes and make me look like an amateur. Ed F

Interesting... I didn't know anything about this gun and ended up getting one in a trade the other day. My kids got their first javalina tags, figured it would work for that. What are they worth? Ed F

It's ok if it rains now... Ed F -
Beautiful buck. Congrats. Ed F

IMO it's easier to get within bow range of a bear than a deer. It's your hunt... Ed F
