  1. We talked the parents into going to Lake Powell since we had a couple days off school and the adults were hunting turkeys in our unit. What a great trip it was. We usually always go this time of year and catch lots of small mouth on there beds. This year the water temp was not warm enough yet to make them head to shallow water. So we fished the walls for striper, and it was hot. Here are a few pictures of the trip.

If you ever wanted to catch striped bass now is the time at Lake Powell. Small mouth should be hot for the next couple weeks also.

  2. Thanks Tj. The good thing is we usually let every fish we catch go. We both killed Turkeys last year with our bows so we will see what happens this year. The bow and arrow makes it way harder and turns the advantage to the turkey. It is just very fun being out there and trying to get those pesky turkey's close enough for a shot with the bow.

  3. Sorry mort we have been busy! Not alot of wrestling i know bad on us, but the fish are going crazy so it makes it hard. Rclose79 glad we could help with some info, if we all learn from each other we will be more knowledgable at the end of the day. Our ultimate goal is a T.V. show. If any one has a conection hook us up. Hope to fish Powell this weekend, we will keep you updated. Good luck to all this weekend. Next weekend the Turkeys are in trouble.

  4. We love spring break!! Not just cause we dont have to go to school for an entire week but the bass are usually starting to bite better after a long cold winter. This year we hit some ponds locally while our dad finished some work then off to Roosevelt and San Carlos. It was awesome, here are a couple pictures of the adventure.

Also we just check the report for Lake Powell and people are catching striped bass by the hundreds right now. It might be time to plan that trip if you have never experienced this type of fun. We are trying to convience our parents we need to go next weekend before turkey season starts, we will keep you updated on our progress! Good luck to all..

  5. TJ,

Were sorry it wasn't good for you. Were you on the Salt end of the lake? We heard it was not as good on that end, we fished the tonto end. We never tried to catch crappie cause we heard they were not that active yet. We did very well on weightless sinkos in baby bass color or any watermelon color with a fleck. We made a new episode for our show when we were there but have been busy with school track to get it completed, maybe this weekend. We did not get as many on video as before cause we had trouble getting our dad off the fishing pole and on the camera. Here is a couple pictures before we get everything completed. And good luck to everyone this weekend it should be very good looking at the weather. We might see you down there if we can talk the parents into a Sunday down and back run since Saturday we have to check on the Turkeys for the Junior hunt.

Again good luck to all this weekend. Remember Lake Powell is getting ready to break loose also. We always fish it mid to late April and catch a ton of good small mouth. They say the striper are already starting...Fun..Fun.

  6. We fished Roosevelt this past weekend and was it ever fun. There were Crappie fisherman all over the Salt River arm but we did not see many catch anything.

The bass on the other hand were in high gear and made for a great day of fishing. My brother actually caught two fish on one crankbait. We fish alot all around the

state. If our parents go down to Phoenix we call an older friend and have him meet us so we can fish Tempe Town Lake or some other urban lake while they shop.

Shopping is terrible, unless we are at Bass Pro or Cabelas. Check out our BLOG of some of the great fish we catch. There are numerous fish over 3-5 lbs on there.

If anyone knows of a great urban lake to catch some good fish we would greatly appreciate some info. Thanks in advance!

We kept some fish for the picture before letting them all go!
