Ya UCONN really "spanked" the UA....after all the game came down to the last tenth of the last second. Is it because the Bashful Bandit does not play nice with male nurses that ride rice burners.....is that why you hate Tucson LOL, No, it's because they stopped serving 2% Skim Milk. I don't ride jap bikes, fyi. Biker

I was cheering UCONN because they spanked the UA. I've nevr been to CT, and don't really have any intention of going. The UA had an impressive season, and I would be happy to cheer for them except for two little, but important facts. The first being that they are located in Tucson, AZ. The second being that it's the UA. Now I don't care who wins, just so long as the UA was sent packin'. Biker

Ahh What's the matter kids? Feelin' bummed because UA lost? Too bad. Go have a cookie and a glass of milk and it will be all better tomorrow. Biker

Well you said you "hate" Tucson so is that the driving force behind your dislike or "hate" for UofA or are you as Devil fan? Having had multiple dealings with UA over the years is enough to foster it's own dislike.

Audsley, Thank you for that very informative reply. I am learning a lot as I read through these threads, and quite frankly there is a lot I am not liking. If it's public land it should be accessable to us all. We, hunters, outdoor enthusiast, and others of our ilk, are often our own worst enemies it seems. If a Guide wants access to government land beyond what the mere private citizen has, let him or her pay a significant sum, and pay for all the management of that land. Otherwise, jump in the same boat as the rest of us. I view public land much like a river in the desert. The law says a landowner cannot dam a river and keep water from inhabitants downstream. However this is basically what happens when private landowners lock a gate and prevent us, the public, from accessing our public lands. Nobody said life was fair, but by God there needs to at least be the appearance of fairness and access. That's not happening today in many places. As much as it pains me, I will vote against agricultural interest if it gets the public access to the lands we rightfully own by our citizenship. I'd love to see this discussion continue. Maybe somebody can spark a fire that helps to settle this matter once and for all. Biker

Howdy all, Being as I have been on both sides of the coin, hunter wanting access, and employee of large land owners wanting to keep the public off their private property, I am wondering what many think the solution is? I've developed the opinion that while ranchers need vast amounts of public land, they do not have a right to treat it as if it were their personal domain. Yes, they can block off private property, and should probably do so, but they should then be required to provide some form of access to the public lands behind their property that is consistant in nature with the means of getting to their private property. Slob Hunters and Idiots need to be policed, if not by themselves then by us. Making roads where there isn't a road, shooting signs, and destroying fences needs to be harshly and swiftly dealt with. I can understand a rancher's frustration when these issues are confronted year after year, with little recourse or remedy. In conjunction with that, we the land owning public that actually pays the taxes and own the public lands need to have access to what is rightfully our's. The blocking off of public lands by the few wealthy enough to own private land in conjunction with public land is against fairness and the American way in my humble opinion. If I can't enjoy my public land, what the heck am I paying taxes for on it? We have equal access to other things in our society, why not the out of the city areas that many of us like to frequent? The whole situation smacks of favoratism that harkens back to the cattle ranching days when Arizona was a territory. It's time to change some of the ways we do things. What say you all? Biker

What crap!!!!!! Cats just beat the defending National Champions by 16!!!!!!!! This is a young team that is coming together at just the right time. If they lose to UConn it still we a very successful season. Stop trying to trash this team.....you don't like UofA, get past it, dont be bitter because they keep proving you wrong I'm not bitter, but I will trash this team win, lose, or draw. There is nothing to get past, the UA is something I despise. Granted, they have a good team this year, and more than acceptable coaching this year, but the fact remains they are still a Tucson team. I despise and hate Tucson. Biker

OK, U of A got by Duke, but if history is any indicator they will fall down soon. Biker

I'm pullin' for Duke! My favorite team is whoever is playin' U of A this week, no matter what sport. Biker

I think that is a key feature, that I would like to see the legislature address. Biker

But how do we do that and keep private property rights? Come on folks, I'm trying to generate some discussion here that has the potential of making things better for all concerned. Biker

I think we are on the same page here missed. Biker

The New Federal Power Grab
BikerRN replied to azmetalman's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
AZ seems to have gotten suckered in and become a part of the Bruce "I'm really a POS" Babbit's wolf reintroduction program back in the clinton administration. Just wait, we will have issues here too, if we don't already. I think it's time for the various states to rise up and denounce the federal government. Brewer seems to have made a good start, but it's only a start. Biker -
I missed the elk draw this year, and quite frankly, while I enjoy the meat, I think I'd do better staying in my area and hunting close to home. I'll put in for antelope next year, along with deer. Maybe after I get a few seasons under my belt I'll start putting in for elk. Biker

I concur that posting an asking price would be in your best interest and keep lookey loo's from wasting your time. Biker

Howdy all. I was on another website, sorry Amanda but I do have to visit other sites to help keep fresh ideas in my pea sized brain sometimes, and the discussion was on instituting a 3 Point Rule for Mule Deer. I realize this site is dedicated to the Grey Ghost, but I think some of the issues are, or could be, relevant to the Coues Deer. This is what I had to say regarding a 3 Point Rule. What say you all? I'm interested in what you all think. Biker

Personally I prefer one of these: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.huntingcentral.net/images/hunting/mule/Mule1.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.huntingcentral.net/hunting_photos8.htm&h=418&w=600&sz=48&tbnid=RmtR014sl6HfNM:&tbnh=94&tbnw=135&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmule%2Bpictures%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=mule+pictures&usg=__A6eWMAbpNUklDCsCOnX4rEbZ5zE=&sa=X&ei=3_mHTeHhI5T2tgP6pfCODA&ved=0CC8Q9QEwBA Biker

I agree. Anybody got a newborn rugrat I can borrow? The cry of a newborn baby makes the best 'yote call, as I found out years ago. Biker

While I can understand being mad because the price of food has gone up, Taco Bell's food isn't even worth getting miffed over. All the more reason to grow your own vegtables. Biker

Without taking this thread too far off topic, I would say the most important thing is the nut behind the trigger. Biker

I'll wait until they lose the Final 4. Then Tucson can have another riot. Biker

soazarcher, You make a compelling argument that I will have to research further. Biker

Hi Soazarcher, Do you have any documentation or links to something one can read to study how you reached your conclusion? I'm not trying to be argumentative, but just saying you have disproven something, without supporting documentation really isn't helpful to one trying to reach a conclusion. Others have been kind enough to post links to web articles that support how they came to their conclusions. Would you care to do the same? I tend to live by a motto that is a holdover from previous employment, "Believe nobody and verify everything you are told." Biker
