You ain't a kidding.i just got back and I'm ready for my brother and nephews hunt Nov. 10.

Nothing closer than ....1000 yards yeah 1000 yards or maybe 2000 yeah 2000 just kidding.I guess it depends on what your confident in and comfortable with.I shot a muley at 317 and a whitetail at 340 both with one shot and both with my 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser.My brother (hightracker) killed an elk at 317 yards and dropped it where it stood,of course he had a bigger rifle 30-06 Howa,he's pretty good with that rifle.Get comfortable,have a steady rest,take a deep breath and sqeeze the trigger on your exhale.Good luck.

Scott you know I'll be there with my brother and nephew and 2 others in Nov.The tripod is working out awesome.I've been doing alot of scouting with my bro and it sure has worked out nice.We found a Bear about two weeks ago,spotted it about 2 miles away.We made the trek and got into position 171 yards away and out popped two cubs,o'well better luck next time,Tony

I found a skull last weekend in the lower part of 27. Nice rack I scored it at 370 and some change,thats if the broken fith point was the same as the good one.I'll get some pic's soon
