Get a Savage model 16 weather warrior. It has the accu stock and trigger. I just picked one up. Loaded 130 grain accu bonds in Norma brass on top of 73 grains of H1000 with federal 215 magnum primers. It's going 3290 FPS out of the muzzle 3 shot group at 100 yards

Why would you rule out the 270 WSM for long range?? I'm shooting a 130 grain accu bond out of my 270 WSM and it's trajectory and velocities are way better than my 300 WM with a 165 grain Sierra game king. The 270 wsm is a fast flat shooting round that will perform great at long range. Nosler recommends for the accu bonds best performance that velocity be over 1800 FPS. AT 800 yards, the 130 is right around 1900 FPS. If it were me, I'd sell both of the m70's and pick up a savage weather warrior model 16. It's a shooter right out of the box!

Remington 700 .243. 24" fluted carbon steel barrel, floated on a brown laminate stock with raised cheek piece that was glass bedded at Lawson's. Laminate stock is flawless. This rifle is a tack driver. My wife has shot 1 coues buck (340 yards) and 3 pigs (under 200 yards) all 1 shot. Also have loaded 52 - 95 grain nosler ballistic e-tips, 19 Sierra 85 grain varminters, 48 pieces of once fired and 33 twice fired pieces of Winchester brass. I have put about 200 rounds down the tube. I would like the ammunition and brass to go with the rifle. Bi-pod and scope not included. $650 obo. Not looking for trades at the moment. This rifle is great for a kid or women who is just getting into shooting or hunting. It is under Remington's trigger recall. I have not sent it in because I have not had any issues with it discharging on its own (not saying it can't happen). I also have a Bell and Carlson Alaskan wilderness stock for this rifle. It has the full aluminum bedding block. It has not been used but I did sand it down so the barrel is floated. Will sell for 225$ or 850$ for everything you see. Silence is a beautiful thing!! I carry a small primos reed in my mouth to stop the bull if necessary when its time for the shot. My favorite is the guys squawking their hoochie mamas and the elk run the other way!

When are you looking to go? Now that the days are getting hotter it's turning into night shooting. Which night shooting with people that aren't very experienced is much better because you find fish in much shallower water than you do in the day time.

Ive shot the same AMS retriever since 2005 and all ive ever done is change the string. I did try the zebco 808 reel and that lasted about 2 trips before the internals blew apart and after that I never looked back. A lot of guys are shooting the muzzy reels as well. Its all just personal preference. The AMS is easy to use and very durable!

Ive never caught any carp on a rod and reel but could only imagine the fight it would be!! Heres a 20lb mirror carp that I shot last year. This is my second mirror carp ive ever shot. The first one was around 6lb range.
