  1. When are you looking to go? Now that the days are getting hotter it's turning into night shooting. Which night shooting with people that aren't very experienced is much better because you find fish in much shallower water than you do in the day time.

  2. Ive shot the same AMS retriever since 2005 and all ive ever done is change the string. I did try the zebco 808 reel and that lasted about 2 trips before the internals blew apart and after that I never looked back. A lot of guys are shooting the muzzy reels as well. Its all just personal preference. The AMS is easy to use and very durable!

  4. I stop shooting during the day about the end of May. Its just to hot for this white kid at that point! You'll find carp on the shorelines without any problem. The fun is finding the buffalo in open water and shooting some 20+ lb fish! A buddy of mine shot last weekend at night up there and they killed a mess of commons on the shorelines. Let us know how you do!

  5. I personally like Roosevelt. Sag and canyon are slow lakes(not much shooting action) Roosevelt you can find carp on the shorelines every where and a few buffalo here and there. At night youll also find catfish on the shorelines.

  6. Yes the home depot work halogens will be fine! I ran those on my first rig for a long time but now I use 6 - 300 watt halogens and my Honda 2000eu runs them no problem.(just take extra fuel!) As Dom said, plez is usually great at night(shooting 6-8lb carp) and maybe come across a handful over 10lbs. I would try and setup something just to gain a little elevation on the front of your boat. Even a milk crate will make a world of difference in being able to see the fish!

  7. Ive had the outdoorsmans pack for 2-3 years now and have 0 complaints! I had one problem with a strap on the waist belt but called Cody Nelson, sent the waist belt to him and he had a new one in my hands in about 3 days! Very comfy, weight rides great on your hips and you can pack more than you'll ever want to carry in it. My hunting partner also has the optics pack and he loves it too. We use them as our only pack whether its day trips or over nighters. We put lots of miles on our boots with these packs on.

  8. NICE JOB Andrew!!!!!

Hey thanks Dom!! My partner Triston was definitely shooting good as well. I think his first 2 shots of the night were fish in the boat!

SChaweet looks like yall did good!

Do you guys ever go out when its windy?

I go out any chance I get. The wind usually dies out at night and if it doesn't you can find places to shoot fish out of it.

  9. My buddy and I got out last night

My Partner also picked up an 18.5 lb and 15 lb carp. I pulled out of 2 more carp and a few more t-lops. It was a good night!

Cant wait for next time and will see you guys at the Bill Luke shoot!
