I find it interesting that the new Governor tags that would be auctioned (to the rich) are for a year long hunt. The legislator tags would be auctioned as well (to the rich) and would be open for all of the seasons in a given unit. The regular sportsman's tags (raffled so the average person could draw) would only be open for the one season. In summary the rich boys would either be able to hunt before the average guys does or in several different seasons. So this system is set up to benefit the rich so they can buy more tags. I have talked to a lot of hunters from Utah and attended a meeting in Kanab Utah that was run by an organization of everyday hunters who hated the Utah system. It is worse now than it was. I can only imagine what the expenses would be to run the expo and they would be paid first. Like someone else said the Fiesta Bowl is a non profit organization but it does not mean the director does not get paid 400,000 per year. Bad idea

A lot of the animals do like the mines. A large percentage of the sheep in the Morenci live on mine property most of it is posted and more is getting posted all the time. If Rosemont opens I hope they control the dust better than Freeport does

Thanks. Sheep hunting is something that few get to experience. Do not take it for granted. Enjoy it and cherish it. The more time you spend in sheep country the more you appreciate the majestic nature of the sheep. The country they inhabit is humbling once you are there and experience it.

My sheep hunt starts soon, December 1st. Anyone seen any good rams lately in unit 28-Eagle Creek Bonita Creek etc. or anywhere in the unit??????? Thanks

I have the 27/28 sheep tag, first hunt this year. I plan to take a short scouting trip next week. Any suggestions,tips or words of wisdom? I will be setting up a trailer somewhere there in late October and plan to be there several days a week until the hunt. I have been there once many years ago so do not remember a lot of the unit. It seems there are a bunch of locals who come on here and they are the resources I really like. I am looking forward to this hunt and all the preparation that goes into it. I have some health issues that might prevent some steep long climbs but I think I will be able to get around good enough. Thanks

Several months ago an individual posted pictures of some sheep that were taken from his front porch. I would love to hear from him as I drew the tag there.
