  1. Here is my opening day buck. I put in about 25 days of scouting but it was fun and worth it. I would like to thank Blake from Heber for his advice and Buffhunter from the Tucson area for his excellent advice also. Kyle from Globe was helpful also. It is nice when hunters help other hunters. I liked that he was wide and over 16 inches high.I waited 16 years for a tag which I guess is not too long in this state.

  2. I had 18 points and drew antelope this year. I drew a Rocky tag 6years ago and drew my desert tag 30 years ago on my third try and drew a strip rifle tag 9 years ago. There is a lot of luck involved.

    2002 early rifle elk

    2007 strip rifle

    2010 Rocky tag

    2016 rifle antelope

    1986 desert sheep

keep trying I hope you all get to go sheep hunting

  3. I had a 27s 28 tag 5 years ago and I never even came close to running into another hunter. I had at least 10 locations of sheep located. Finding rams was not a problem as I saw 75 different rams over a 30 day period of scouting/hunting. It is a great tag if you can draw it. Hope you all have the opportunity to hunt sheep some day it is a special thing to do something I can not describe. Anybody draw the tag feel free to contact me. The year after my tag I spent a day with a lucky hunter who drew a tag. A nice guy got a nice ram.

  4. Anyone got any advice. I will be scouting within the week. Just had an ingrown toe nail cut out. I will be out weekly for several days a week. I pick up a new rifle this week and a new scope so I am looking forward to the hunt. Tough to draw them. I had a sheep tag five years ago and the next year I met a hunter in my unit to show him around. I try to help other members out.

  5. On 12-15(or 14)-15 Chad Smith pled guilty to an information charging that he used an aircraft to harass wildlife. It is a misdemeanor. Part of the agreement is that he can not seek a hunting license in Arizona or anywhere, shall not participate in any hunting activity, shall surrender his guides license in AZ,shall divest himself of any interest in Vaquero outfitters.

If he complies with this order the government will dismiss the case on or before December 13, 2019

This is from federal court records.

  6. I will not stick together with people hunters or otherwise who violate the law. I am a hunter and I do not appreciate a so called hunter who uses a helicopter to push antelope making is easier for him or his client to hunt them. All prospective hunters should be aware of this. This is not his first go around with game and fish. He is paying the price as he should be. He pled guilty since he is guilty as he gave up a lot. He is not the first big time guide to get in trouble go to Kanab Utah to find another one.
