    2005 Chevrolet Duramax

Try other internet sites like truckpaper.com...............but, I think you are high for wanting to get rid of it so bad. I just picked up an '04 F350 4 door, 4wd, lifted, with camper shell and bedliner for $28000. If nothing else, find a dealer that will take it on consignment.

    2007 Elk and Antelope Guidelines

They awant to put more "elk on the ground." So, they can sell more tags and create more opportunity.

    The statement of a lifetime

C'mon Dave, Since Tice left the dept. the changes have been astounding. We lost 1 week off of archery javelina, they tried to put 1/2 of archery bull tags in November....remember? And, they say they are doing this to create more opportunity, which you and I know is a bunch of crap.

    Spring Bear?

22 is a tough unit. The season starts way too early as they are not active yet. I only know of 1 guy that has killed a spring bear in 22 and it was taken in June. I am usually in 22 for spring turkey and dont start seeing bear sign until mid May.

    Which release?

I use a Scott Lil Goose. I like how light the trigger is and get a nice crisp release from it.

    Metatarsal gland

Now that you mentioned it, I have seen deer alert in the same spot as a deer that spooked. Did the doe wind you or pick up yer scent on the ground? One thing I firmly believe in is wearing rubber boots to yer stand.

    Randy Ulmer Hunting Accident?

Randy is a great guy, an excellent shot and I consider an even better hunter. I havent talked to Randy since last January but, even then, he made a point to come up to me and shake my hand and ask me how everything was going. He is as down to earth as anyone I know, period.

    Brand new DB Matrix blind

I just bought one of these blinds and found a place that is selling them out for $310 including shipping, which is cheaper than anywhere else I have seen them. They are brand new, in the box. But, there are only 2 left. They will even take credit cards, and it is thru a major broadhead company. let me know if yer interested and I will give you the contact info. Thanks, Garth

    One down.......One to go!

Congrats!! Great bull and great pics. That is one bad thing about G&F moving the hunts later, there are alot of broken points now.

    Unit 9 elk help

Unit 9 is gonna be a harder hunt than usual because there is more water than I have ever seen. The elk are spread more and dont need to congregate to the waterholes that hold water the longest. That being said, start checking the holes that have wallows.......here are some good ones out there.

    Speaking of Bear Season

The country I have been in is going to have alot of acorns this year, and they love acorns.......

    Getting back in....

You might want to go to Wide World Of Maps. You can buy topo maps there, plus you can pick up a map program that you install on yer computer. I prefer the latter because you can sit all day at the computer and get to know the country. Once you know the area you want to hunt, got to azgfd.com which is the game and fish website. They have info listed for every unit and broken down by species. It is very helpful and lists the game manager for that unit, so you can contact him/her for more info. Remember, only unit 10 is open for archery deer in December/January in the north country.

Mike, I have 10 points next year, so we will be ready, huh?

    Cross Bow?

A crossbow is less accurate and has less power over 50 yds than your compound, maybe you need to practice yer stalking skills.

    Opening Day Success!!

Great buck Mike.........yer makin' me jealous.

    How to get close enough...

Actually, your feet arent the problem areas..........you have to use the cow pies as cover scent under yer arms and in yer crotch. They aren't scared of cows, so it works.

    Hunting Blinds

I have a Double Bull and Ameristep blind. I have noticed that Coues tend to shy away from a blind that has just been setup. Turkeys and Coyotes dont see them and Elk and mule deer dont care about them. Also, if you plan to set the blind in an area easy accessible by people, expect it to disappear. I have lost blinds, had them slashed and stomped. The nice things about blinds is, they contain your scent and movement. You can sit in a nice lawn chair and read a book, take a nap, or whatever and not worry about the animals seeing you.
