    Deven summed it all up....

     

     

    It was quite the experience and fun times for sure with of course Deven's cookin and Jack Daniel's Tennesee Honey :D

     

    I am surely hooked and ready for spring hunting season!!!

     

    Next time I'm takin a whole week off for sure!!! :P

     

    I am in the process of modifying my rifle with a Boyd LH Stock so I will be ready to take the shot... :ph34r:

    Good luck to VegasJeep, SndRdnk, and everyone else heading out this Friday. My hunt isn't 'til Nov. 4 so I've got to control myself until then. Good luck guys, seems like you already know where you're going based on the pictures I saw from you guys. Let us know how it goes.

     

     

    Well no rack for me this season... Couldn't stay out till Tuesday so, a 2 day hunt is all I could do....VegasJeep is still out there

     

    Bummer SndRdnk. Did you guys see any bucks at all? Was it pretty crowded down there?

     

     

     

    VegasJeep just text me and said he saw 13 bucks in our secret honey hole... Perfect shots for me but nothin yet for him...

     

    On the roads it was crowded... Guys were just sittin on the back of tailgates waitin for a shot...

     

    Wasn't crowded where we went hunting but we hiked and crossed a few hills...

    I saw 32 does, 11 bucks but nothing I wanted to shoot. My brother in law and I are trying to hold out for something bigger.

     

    Showed a new hunter details of hunting, glassing etc. Couldn't get him in his range on anything except for one last night in which he keEnest speed to get ready is KEY. The minute I say buck looking through the binos you pull the trigger. You have to hurry and get down and ready to shoot.

    Tomorrow morning we are going to our old honey hole where we intend to find bigger bucs LOL

     

    Saw a perfect good size 3pt but was ranged at 900+ yards... It was bedded down but would have been one heck of a hike to try to sneak on it...

     

    VegasJeep texted me last night and told me he saw 20 deer and 6 bucks in the afternoon hunt all under 250yrds... Nothin' he wanted to shoot unless it was Tuesday... lol

    If you have not been there much you can save yourself a lot of trouble... honestly. you can drive around the unit slowly and see deer everywhere. when you see deer stop and pick a hill and climb and glass. I like farther north then south for sure

     

     

     

    Just stop to relieve urself while driving along and u will see plenty of deer...
