Congratulations indeed! Hey you wouldn't happen to know what broadhead was used do you?

As long as you don't introduce any new bacteria into the mix while grinding it up- it will be fine...

Nice Haul!!! -
I'll shoot it next month

First thing I do is worry about the sun. Find a spot where you're in the shadows. Next thing I worry about is the wind. I prefer a crosswind rather than a head-on wind. The reason for this is that most wary predators try to circle downwind to get a whiff of what is making that awful noise. The next thing in selecting a stand is elevation. I don't necessarily HAVE to be up high, but it helps to view lots of country. Just make sure you can see through to some good shooting lanes. You should try to break your profile up by using some sort of backdrop- a bush, tree, side of a hill, etc. As far as "knowing" the terrain has coyotes and other animals- I think it's pretty safe to say they're located everywhere you can possibly look for them.

x2 on jackrabbit or cottontail. Do you plan on using mouth calls or electronic???

Is anyone else using the NAP 360 and having tuning issues frequently? I can't seem to get "perfect" arrow flight off of mine. I've moved brushes and the launcher, and I've had my pro shop here in town check centershot several times since 2011 when I bought it and it hasn't moved from center at all. I shot a 3D shoot earlier this month with another guy who had one and he said he's had issues too- the arrows "waggle" during flight sometimes. I really don't think it's a torque problem or proper form issue, but I know better than to assume it's not me doing something wrong during the release...

Thanks for not running over my decoys!!! Didn't see your sticker until you drove past

What a bull!!! Congrats.

Might have better luck though if you didn't call much and spent time looking for good sign and doing some glassing

It's all good. You'll see evidence of illegals, but the drug running tends to be more late-night drops by vehicle along the out-of-the-way roads and then night time or early morning pick-ups of the merchandise. So many cameras around it's difficult for them to run those human mule trains with heavy loads.

Finally waterfowl regs

I have one...

Everyone needs a jackrabbit/cottontail call or three. Fawn in distress calls would also be pretty good.

Let's hear your "Zombie-dove" stories
Scooter replied to Scooter's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Happy to report... closed out the season with Saturday and Sunday limits of confirmed DEAD doves. None of them required decapitation or other means. Switched to 20ga Estate Super Sport competition #9's and kept my shots under 25yds. Didn't see barely any breast damage when they were dressed out so I will have to find some more of these wonderful shells. -
whoa baby!!! Nice bull!!!

Just get the tag, set up in a concealed spot with a good reliable rifle and shotgun (maybe pistol too), and start calling using normal deer sounds near areas that have lots of deer traffic. Through a little talking to biologists, they say an adult lion kills aand/or feeds on deer approximately every 4-5 days. So if you see some lion and deer sign in the same area I think those are about the best odds you can get without dogs. Plus you'll probably call in a few other critters that need thinning and skinning so it's double exciting! good luck... *EDIT: I've never killed a lion and I don't really want to get that close to them... I've had a few bobcats sneak up to within 5 feet behind me and I just can't imagine what my undies would look like if it were a lion.

What do you wear on your feet for a stalk?
Scooter replied to couesarcher's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
wow! I think I'm gonna try to make a pair of those... -
There's a guy in the local club that shoots one... Haven't heard any complaints and he shoots pretty good. It looks like there's so much movement and that tends to scare me off.

Scooter replied to hoghntr's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Some! if you wanna come hunt an afternoon and help that would be gr8. interesting to walk around and see their/someones popular trees and see year after year of shells on top of each other. again as a kid i never picked up unless on farms but i kinda thought by now people knew shells dont just vanish and it is a law. also found a rattler that has been dead sometime skeleton and a awesome rattle so if that was them, thx. This is next to 1 of their high brass 12's.. not sure why somebody chose that ammo unless using mag gun?? anyways hope all the anonymous guys that anser the same on gender question go make up a fake life at least. thx and God Bless all,,, yes even you anonymous guy/guys 1379060813916.jpg Good for you grabbing a few before you left... If more people did that we'd be better off- I have NO desire to travel anywhere close to the PHX metromess unless I'm going to Cabela's or Bass Pro so you're on your own as far as me helping out. I'll keep holding down the fort on the border here- Good hunting to ya! -

I'm not a real Zombie lore fanatic either... I think all the people with their zombie-slaying neon green crap are a bunch of toolbags. I used it for my own entertainment and satire. But seriously, the Walking Dead is a great show to watch then make fun of with a good group of cynics.
