How Do You Pull Your Bow Back In Blind: TIPS?

Also practice your targets at different angles slightly up and down close to the ground close to obstacles like bushes have a branch near you ... Real close I found my 30 yd pin worked pretty good at 10 yds I use 3 pins 20 30 and 40 and split the pins for half distances..I personally found to many pins to be harder to deal with..but that is me you have to find what is the most comfortable for you .and find your distance comfort zones 30 yds I am most comfortable at...I am ok with 40 PS the Michelin man works great when it is 110 outside If you are planning on wearing a face mask practice with it on again this is always great to experience with it has just got through raining and it is 110 ...really wants to make you slap the person up side the head that coined the phrase "Arizona it's a dry heat" Good Luck

How Do You Pull Your Bow Back In Blind: TIPS?

Yep... Heck just sitting for hours at a time cold or not any discomfort can change a bunch on your ability to pull your bow And the one shot that people do not practice the most at is that first "cold" shot..Shoot once see how well you do r one practice what you will hunt at...to many practice at one weight and then turn up the poundage right before this is actually not a good thing...When you are dialed in and hitting comfortable and can hold a drawn bow for 30 seconds and still hit the kill zone ..then you are hunting with more confidence and better odds at being more successful when your chance comes Practice bundled up looking like the Michelin man

How Do You Pull Your Bow Back In Blind: TIPS?

now that I am on my Laptop Another one is turn down your bows poundage just a little bit, Where you can hold the bow up and pull straight back with out having to move the bow much if at all this will also let you shoot in a smaller area...Remember speed doesn't kill accuracy does I pull 50lbs and have harvested/killed many animals from deer in Texas to Musk Ox in Nunavut Canada and Deer in Ohio and Elk and Mulie in AZ plus quite a few other exotic animals in Texas The tightest area are the tree stands in Ohio and being able to pull straight back with out any extra movement One of my biggest pet peeve with some blinds is how short the windows are...Ameristeps when they first came out were the worst if I sat up comfortable I could only see the ground about 2 feet out from the window

    #@%!& shotgun sights!!

Wow...Excuse me . and FYI I am.Not jumping on the guy either...Just making a point from Personal experience how one can actually have better aim then what they think, but psych themselves out of shooting better because something wasn't like it was...maybe next time the OP faced with a similar situation might not miss out with a little more confidence in their own shooting abilities .... What is so wrong with that?

    #@%!& shotgun sights!!

Sorry I can't take it any more Shotguns do not have rear sights they have what is called a Mid Bead The purpose of the Mid bead is when a person brings up the shotgun when they view down the barrel or Rib that it makes a figure 8..(.this really helps when purchasing a shotgun as you will be able to tell whether that shotgun fits you properly or not) See target close eyes lift shotgun to aim where you were looking and when you open your eyes you should see your target then see the two beads making a figure 8 aimed at the target I would almost bet had you just shot before distracting yourself on the beads you probably would have bagged your fox Edit to add unless of course your shooting slug guns...then you will have a rear sight

    Coues Buck with a Mane?

We try to educate our clients to never cut a deer cape up the back of the neck. This buck was caped properly and tubed to the back of the skull, then it was brought in the shop and caped off the head using a "short Y" incision. This results in a mount without a jagged seam up the back of the neck, had this client cut the buck up the back of the neck it would have ruined this unique and rare hair pattern. This buck has an 18 inch neck, mounted. There was no extra skin to bunch up anywhere. Dale Cool.... Hard to tell some fine details in Pictures..even after you explained it I still go back and look and Pictures just do not do the oddity a justice and Yes the Less you cut the less work you give your Taxidermist

For got to add another thing which has caused the Corn price to go high along with the previous stuff mentioned which is a JOKE to we the people and a complete waste ... Ethanol E85 Why are we wasting our FOOD source on a fuel which appears cheaper at the pump but is not cost effective at all..requires diesel and propane to make and haul as when it is made it can not be piped it is to caustic so it has to be hauled requires propane to process and then http://www.fuelecono...des/FEG2011.pdf Scroll down to about page 9 ....Look under the note column where you will see Gas and the E85 cost and mileage per year Example in attached picture Not only does the Buick regal Loose about 5 MPG for using the E85 it also average costing the person approx 900 dollar More a year to use..But people fall for this GREEN dream and think Sustainability is something to aim for..they are lead to believe we are going to save the earth by going Green..It is a Lie But they keep shoveling down our throats

Horse slaughter houses to open again

With all due respect... I agree with your first two points. However, in the grand scheme of things, GMO's reduce the overall costs on crops. Without Corn and Cotton that was developed to be insect resistant, you could easily be spraying 2-3 times a week. On a crop like alfalfa where you can break down the seed cost over 4+ years it more then pays for itself. IF you can eliminate applying chemicals (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides) you are greatly reducing the cost to get that crop to market. Shoot, even cutting down fuel and labor by not applicating chemical is a huge savings. Personally, I think one of the main factors attributing to high hay costs is simply the fact that we are getting ready to set records on cotton production this year. Cotton prices are higher then they have ever been, therefore a good chunk of acreage that has been formally dedicated to hay production has been traded for growing cotton. What caused this? I don't know. There is an abundance of reasons why hay and forage is expensive right now. However I don't think GMO's are one of them. Jake Next farmer you speak to that raises cotton and corn ask them how much they pay per bag of seed and then how much their Technology fee is On top of that bag of seed....PS last I heard from one farmer he was paying over 300 dollars a bag and for his farm over 50,000 in a technology fee a year for the seed he is using....So in truth there isn't much savings as all the farmers costs the prices we pay are proof that there isn't a great savings in this genetically altered seed as all those costs are passed on to US the consumers....

Some of the things that have caused the Alfalfa prices to get where they are 1. China 2 Fuel cost 3 Genetically altered ...Try looking up what they have done with our seeds to make it round up ready and disease and fungus resistant...Specially on Corn and Cotton those are a few things that have done much raise the prices Much less the price of surface acre water As for Slaughter...Slaughter is a good thing...Do not get me wrong I also Love horses I love my dogs but They are animals and yes they can serve a purpose but it is not limited to our enjoyment. When they stopped slaughter many horses suffered a slow death of starvation or were not put down in a humane manner because instead of being able to be sold for slaughter and be put to use the owners had to figure out a way to discard of their aged ill dangerous animal people actually would release horses into the wild or other manners of dumping the animal in hopes to make it someone elses problem to feed and care for. I know of a person in Ohio that trailered their horse to go for a ride with some friend to come back and find a strange horse tied to her trailer that was emaciated. Like it or not Slaughter has a place and FYI horse meat is very good and is served in many fine restaurants over seas . It is a good thing when we make full use of an animal from days of riding to feeding our pets to even enjoying a nice dinner.

    Coues Buck with a Mane?

Kinda looks like the neck on the mannequin was a bit smaller the the hide measurement with a very jagged cut up the back of the deer which when they stitched up the back they pinched up the hide caused the effect like a mane
  18. SOLD I just had a couple that decided to postpone getting a pup till next litter. So This made available a little female from the last litter. Both Dam and Sire have been OFA'd..I do this with all my breeding stock to make sure they have certified passing hips. PUPS PEDIGREE this includes NSTRA AKC and American field titles. This little gal that has become available has shown signs that she likes to know where I am at on our little walks and when she caught scent of a bird she was eager to find out where the scent was coming from and where it flew to so She is extremely birdy on lights up on the scent of birds She has at this point had 2 shots is Microchipped been on the chain gang and exposed to birds She was whelped on Sept 30th The Sire though young has been proving himself to not only be a intense birddog..I have even tossed him in the show ring just to present judges with a real field dog to judge and he has walked away with a few ribbons there... The Dam she is run in NSTRA and used on the pheasant preserve for guiding and I also use her for dove hunting

    Dog Training

Biggest thing is be consistent Basic house training or any training always break down sessions to small steps and get success over and over...only through boring repetition can you make anything remotely a habit and any command needs follow through...so never give a command that you are in no position to follow through should your dog decide not to follow through on because you will only teach the dog that what you are saying or commanding means nothing also I love my dogs but generally hunting dogs should always be kept on a lead or retained specially at younger ages as you do not want them to learn how to just self hunt plus this leads to all sorts of problems....If everyone allows their animals to roam around at camp eventually you get where neighbors dog is in your camp or possibly causing problems with your dogs..So maintain your dog at camp..this is out of respect to all because loose dogs only can lead to potential problems and this is how laws are made and passed to stop

    Crossbows????

Crossbows do not shoot out as far as a compound bow will the smaller bolt lacks the weight and length to maintain out like people think If you miss your shot with a crossbow. You will be hard pressed to get reloaded with out mass movement and noise should the animal still be in range after the missed shot Crossbows are cumbersome at best to lug around My first season of bow hunting in Ohio I started with a crossbow..the following season I had a compound because I hated the crossbow for how hard it was to move around and there was no way for me to reload by myself with out a special crank to reset the string and yes as stated there maybe a few more people who decide to try and bow hunt but I doubt seriously it would sky rocket..you may get some rifle muzzleloader hunter add some archery hunts to their last choices should a crossbow be allowed So if it does get a few new people to the sport Great..we need more hunters as a whole sure less hunters means easier chance to get drawn but we need more support and get things turned around where we do not have to act like the skeleton in the closest because we hunt.
