Good luck! I hope that soft top on the Ranger is in one piece when u get there.

I just bought 2 packs for Iowa. Haven't shot them yet. Glad they are getting great reviews.👍

Does anyone know who makes the 2 piece scope coats? This one has a browning logo on it but someone is making them. I think I'd like this over the traditional one piece simply because it stays on the scope and not on the ground where you have to go back for it. lol. Ask me how I know.

This is what I was looking for. I saw a guy use one on a hunting show and thought it was neat that he didn't have to take it completely off. After looking at one closely, I realize i wouldn't be able to dial. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/3381168967/snugfit-snapshot-rifle-scope-cover

I'm confused on why we feel "free publicity" is OK since we just found out it's a thriving national company. However if they were a small local business we feel as if you should sponsor or we won't share our experience with your product or service? Am I way off on how I interpreted this? If so please dis regard. Speedygoss, my intent was never to make someone feel they had to be a sponsor nor would I ever suggest we ignore a small business of their product or services just because they weren't a sponsor. I am so wrapped up in this site that I just can't imagine everyone with a product or service not wanting to jump on here as a sponsor. I apologize if I made it sound any other way. I personally didn't mean any disrespect towards Rick Forrest or his broadhead. My wife is always telling me I often say things others wouldn't understand what it is I'm trying to say. Heck, I understood it. lol Those who know me know I have a different vocabulary for words and should start my own dictionary called "Redneck Dictionary". Speedygoss........thanks for sharing your interpretation. Made me rethink on what I said. I need that once in a while. Good luck on all your hunts and thanks for all your contribution in the forum here on cwt. TJ TJ, Thanks for the clarification. I have read many of your posts and the way I misinterpreted this one didn't seem in your character. I might have been a little on edge about it since I am in the process of starting a small business with cash. No loans, no credit cards no debt. etc. Word of mouth is the only form of growing a business in theses early stages and seeing so many helpful products being shot down because someone wants to play forum cop rubs me wrong every time. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with a business advertising on a forum they do not sponsor but keeping members from discussing a product??? Thank you for taking the time to straighten me out on this one. Good luck on your your hunts this year as well.

Shooter (Ballistic Calculator) for Iphone users.
AxisWorks LLC replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Long Range Shooting
I used his earlier version "Ballistic FTE" and later upgraded to the Ballistic Advanced. I preferred the earlier version better... It seems that he started off with a good product and proceeded to screw it up. Glad I didn't spend the $20. Thank you. -

OK, let me ask you this. Here is the link to the (Shooter ballistics manual) http://www.shooterapp.net/manual.php It states that you can change the "pressure input type" (see picture below) I'd like to change mine from inHg to PSI if it will allow to collate with my Leica 1600B pressure reading. However I can not find the supposed question mark as stated in the manual to allow me to achieve this. -

AxisWorks LLC replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Long Range Shooting
Holy crap! It has to have the "s" after ballistic! I searched shooter ballistic, shooter ballistic calculator and it never came up. Found it now. Thank you. Has anyone tried the app. Ballistic: Advanced Edition by Jonathan Zdziarski? -
My biggest problem, if there is one, is that the barometric pressure reads in PSI instead of Inches of Mercury. So where I expect a reading of say 29.96 ihg is get 14.2 PSI. Looks like they would have made it to show either/or.

Nitto terra grapplers or Big O bigfoot A/T's
AxisWorks LLC replied to hunt4horns's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Toyo open country AT2's hands down. I have ran BFG's And Nitto Terra graplers. The Nittos sucked in every way possible. had 3 sidewalls fail between 2 sets and the tread wear was terrible. (Yes the truck was aligned properly many times throughout the tires life span.) Mind you I am running 3/4 ton diesel and I tow with it. The BFG's were great as long as you kept them rotated on a regular basis. (like every oil change). So far the Toyos although owned by Nitto have been the best set so far. They are also one of the very few that have a manufacturers 50,000 mi. warranty in an all terrain. Plan on waiting a couple weeks from the time you order them though. Its no secret that these tires are preforming well above the others in there class. The last 2 sets I ordered were on back order due to high demand. Please keep in mind results will vary extremely depending on what vehicle they are on and how they are used. All my advice is for an 8000lb. 4x4 diesel truck. A 1/2 ton, or S-10 or Tacoma will have a completely different experience with the exact same tire. Speedy. -

What Caliber to get??? - Need Suggestions
AxisWorks LLC replied to PelaPapas's topic in The Campfire
If I was in your shoes. .25-06 for a anything under 400 lbs or go with a .270 WSM if you intend on shooting the occasional Elk without being overkill on the smaller critters. Tikka or Remington 700 Sendero depending on where your budget is. I like the .270 WSM over the standard because you get the rigidity of a short action, a few more FPS and the powder burns more efficient being stacked short and fat vs. long and skinny. That's my .02. Good luck. These are the fun decisions in life. -
Nothing left here. Have a nice day.

Dillon Square Deal press with one caliber set up
AxisWorks LLC replied to levers's topic in Classified Ads
By one caliber do you mean Dies and Conversion kit? I believe the dies for a square deal are proprietary correct? Thanks Speedy. -
In all reality fuel mileage wise my 4.0 V6 4x4 4runner with as big of tires as I can fit without a lift gets about 18Mpg on average. Adding a lift and and larger tires will prob put you around 15-16Mpg. empty. not towing.
-
In my experience of currently owning both this is my opinion. You did ask for opinion right? BTW That is a great looking Cummins.
-
I don't know to many diesel owners who went back to a gas truck and didn't regret it. Let alone a V6. The boats not exactly what I would call heavy but I have both a diesel and a newer 4 runner. I couldn't imagine depending on the yota as my only tow vehicle.
