AxisWorks LLC replied to huntjunkie's topic in Classified Ads
Put the Leica on www.longrangehunting.com and it will be good as gone. -
Thanks for the reply guys. I've tried twice to join the the 6.5grendel forum. It tells me that a moderator will activate my acct. but they never have. Still can't post. Sent them a few msgs with no response.

Curiouse if anyone has any experience building a 6.5 Grendel in a 15 platform? I have been challenged with this task and soaking up all I can before the credit card comes out. I already have a stiller lower, and a 20" proof reaserch barrel on order. Looking more for info on feeding tips and tricks and Gas system advice. Thanks, Speedy.

Had a great night hitting the Wyoming Ice last night with Mike and Erin Davidson, Derick Hnderson and Jackie Smith.
-
Yep right on the ice. I takes a looooooong time for a fire to melt through 10" of ice. By the end of the night we had 5 holes drilled around the fire. Like sitting around a camp fire only with a hole to fish between your feet.

6.5 creed bullet choice help.
AxisWorks LLC replied to 208muley's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Sorry my last post wasn't specific enough. I wasn't implying that Hornady was creating a bullet that would allow the 6.5 creedmoor to produce velocitys over 3000fps. I was simply implying that they will have a better projectile that incorporates high BC and terminal ballistic performance. (For those cartridges that are pushing 3000+ velocities) Hornady has stumbled upon some very interesting data on the behavior of projectiles going this fast and have set out to improve. On another note they have also found a more accurate way to mesure BC therefore their publishings are more accurate now. Have you noticed many of their published BCs on their website have changed? -
6.5 creed bullet choice help.
AxisWorks LLC replied to 208muley's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Wait and see what Hornady will be releasing as soon as their IP clears. I can't go into detail but it's going to be great for LR hunting. Especially for 3000+ velocities. -
Addicted does. I installed it for him last year. I have 2 timneys for sale (switched them out for jewels last week) if your interested. $75 ea. ( Both triggers sold)

Shoot him a text and ask him. I believe he had a draw stop that wouldn't stay tight and Bowtech replaced them under warranty. He's pretty anal about his stuff if it isn't perfect he'll make sure it is. -

Wanting to replace my Ar trigger
AxisWorks LLC replied to HuntHarder's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I used to be a Timney guy until Elftmann came out. Hands down the best AR-trigger I've ever used. The 3 gun is a dream. Also an AZ company. http://elftmanntactical.com -

Included in sale: 1.) Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 SFP BDC Reticle. 2.) Tally Light Weight Medium Rings (Remington 700) 3.) Both caped and exposed turrets (They change out depending on your preference.) I had this scope previously mounted on my .257 Wby. and it has seen allot of hunts killed allot of Coues over the years. Going a different rout with the rifle so this is up for sale. This is a pre Monarch 3,5,7 scope. It is second focal plane with a Nikons BDC reticle. 1/8 MOA elevation and windage. Like I said this scope has seen allot of hunting and there are cosmetic blemishes. (all shown in pictures.) Glass is 100% This scope new was $650. Due to the blemishes acquired over the years I'm asking $350 and trowing the rings and extra turrets in for free. I am currently working out of town but will be back in Mesa Nov 29th-Dec 9th. and can meet. Link to Scope specs: http://www.opticsplanet.com/nikon-monarch-6-24x50sf-riflescopes.html

Opinions wanted on Heavy duty trucks
AxisWorks LLC replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in The Campfire
I agree with Regan, Fords diesel history the last 10 years has been anything but true to the company's reputation. Every generation of any manufacturer has its pros and cons. I have decided to thoroughly study each generation of each manufacturer when paying upwards if $60K on a newer truck. Not just the engine but the whole vehicle. ALL!! of them have their flaws so you have to pick the less evil. In my research I Identified the flaws and researched the "fix" for these flaws. Long story short my top picks would be... 1.) 2006-early 2007 Duramax LBZ (add Kryptonite tierods) 2.) 2011-Present Duramax LML (add Kryptonite tierods) 3.) 2013-Present 6.7 Cummins with (Aisan AS69RC Transmission only) I really think Ram is onto something here. Notes: The only reason the Duramax LBZ takes pick over the LML is still a pre regeneration. -
Had a great weekend hunting up around 11000ft. with the Davidson brothers from Gunwerks this weekend. Mike took this bull at 1239yds. around 11:00 am yesterday. Got him packed back to camp in the dark, stayed one more night and finished the voyage this morning. Stay tuned and catch all the details in season 2015 of Long Range Pursuit where you can watch the whole hunt unfold and yours truly spotting some incredible shots for Mike.
