Tanks.... I'm living the dream. Drinking some crown royal, staring at my mount over the fireplace. I won't forget it anytime soon.

Awesome, That is all that comes to mind.

Tanks! All I need now is a bull elk, a white tail, and a mulie. Is that too much to ask for this early in my hunting career????

Thanks Amanda. I didn't know when something is mounted the skull isn't used. My father in law is doing up a European mount as well with the skull. He knows someone that measures for sci. He is goons have it measured when he is done with the skull. Should have those pics up in a week or so. I feel super lucky to have both mounts.

I don't know what to compare it to. It's my first archery kill. The only other big game I have taken was spike white tail in 09' with my rifle. This beauty wieghed about 50lbs on the hoof. And it tasted GREAT!

Thanks. Just hung it on my wall. My first harvested game. Come on August, archery deer......

I would like to make a challenge:for everyone to read the labels of the products they purchase at the store. Look at where this product is made. If we all purchase products made in the good old USA, it would have a direct effect on our economy. Buy American, and create jobs. Let's try to bring manufacturing back to this country...... Thanks. Jimmy.

Yes, a couple of examples come to mind. 1- an employer that has collectively bargained a contract. A contract that was negotiated by both parties, not just crammed down the employers throat by a union. That means it was agreed upon by both parties. 2- a federal employer that provides health insurance for federal employees is my second example. Thanks. I was actually thinking more about how it originally came to be that employers are expected to pay for insurance. Was that largely because of unions? I don't think it's accurate to say "because of Unions". People need to understand how bargaining works. The company and the union both have proposals they bring to the table. At the end of the negotiations, both parties agree and sign off on the contract. The percentage of workers represented by a union in the U.S. is extremely low. Somewhere around 10%.So, as to the post by Desert Bull, don't think it has much to do with employer paid health care. But, I'm not an economist, so I could be wrong. Thought I was wrong once, but I made a mistake. HA!

I believe that is called the "the buy amercican clause" in a construction contract that federal $ in it. That kind of language is used a lot on VA properties. Veteran hospitals and such. Good to read that, thanks for posting.

I agree with you 100%, as a matter of fact I went to buy a pair of red wing boots two years ago. The only boots made in the USA were $200 and up. Once again, I agree with you, not everyone can afford that. I guess my point was try to buy Amercian when you can. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the post. At my office I have a list of American made products. From toothpaste to cars. Tomorrow I will send you a pm. Thanks again. Good points.

Sorry Dug, I won't ever give up on talking to folks about American made products. As far as the Sequoia goes, sweet. Liked reading that.

Yep, Toyota has built several plants here in the States when they compared productivity from japan. And as for the Ford, just gotta check the name plate on the inside of the door where they're made. Thanks for sharing.

Sure was a good time with some good people out there on Saturday. Game and Fish folks were fun to work around, and the CW.com folks were also. Was a real treat to finally meet the folks I have seen on this site. TJ, Tracy, and Amanda are good people if you've never met them in person. Next time something comes up for CW.com people to volunteer for, I'm in.

Thanks. Greatly appreciated.

Neoprene cover for your swaro 15x56s
Jimmyc replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
Amanda, I use my 15X56's with the eye pieces as close together as they go. Do these covers limit the binos from closing all the way? I like them, but if they restrict them form closing all the way, I can't buy them. Thanks. I was thinking the same thing, Jimmyc. I think I'm going to give them a try though. Take a look at the quote below from BigWave regarding this exact same question. Seems like you can still close them all the way..... S. " Diamondbackaz, on 24 November 2011 - 09:48 AM, said:Question, what purpose do they serve? They wouldn't work for me as I have to have my 15's all the way closed because of my narrow IPD. I even had to narrow my adapter just to get them closer together. They are solely made to provide an extra layer of protection from accidental drops, scratches from carrying your binos on a tripod thru brush, etc. They are designed to stay on all of the time and work with the factory rubber lens covers. Some guys will put their binos in their backpack along with other hard items in it, hike several miles with the binos rubbing against another item and get wear marks on the binos. I like to keep my gear in great shape and looking new for as long as possible and this will help me do that. These binos are not cheap! I dont understand the second part. These work perfectly with the tripod adapter in place and fully closed down to the narrowest position. Did you have the hinge assembly on your binos customized to close further down? Could you explain? Again, thanks for the input! I know that these are not for everyone, but I know that I looked for something like this for my Swaro's when I first got them and if it had been out there, I sure would have bought a set! Thanks! " Tanks! I will keep my eyes open for these. SLC 10X42's could use em too.. -

After the antlers detach from the deers head and hit the ground, is the best time to start shed hunting. Best technique, open eyes. I am totally kidding, couldn't resist. Sorry.

keeping extra gun magazines loaded all the time?
Jimmyc replied to KDL's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
If you think about this, keeping a spring under tension all the time should theoretically wear it out sooner than storing it with out tension. Just a thought. The only magazine I keep loaded, is the one in my pistol. My others are not loaded for this reason. Good luck. -
Did you call the police and file a report? Have you checked the pawn shops close to your house? Just a thought. Good luck.
