  1. I understand several big name hunting sponsors severed all ties with USO after what they pulled last year. So many hunters wrote these companies about their feeling about USO they had no choice but to drop USO!!!!!! Talk about the power ofunity and the power hunters have as a whole!!! Remember, what goes around comes around!!!

David, try the area around Blue Jay Peak. Take the road on the north side of the Grahams between Klondyde and Eden. Hunt on the east side of the road anywhere around 4,000 ft. and higher. Glass and glass some more. I've seen quantity and quality in this area. Good luck.

  3. I hunted hard this archery season. I have been after this really nice buck I first saw last Jan. I've got several pics of him on my trail cam. Last year he was about 110'!!!! Although I did not get to see him this Sept., my wife saw him twice from her treestand. She said he is quite bigger in tine length!!! He must be pushing 120"!!! Opening day he walked by her stand at 54 yards but could not get a shot. We do have rifle tags in Oct. If not then, hopefully I can catch up to him in Dec. and Jan. Good luck everybody!!!! retlaw280

  4. I emailed Amanda photos of a buck I shot Saturdy morning so you will see them soon. I had awesome weekend, seen many bucks and a few bigger then the one I shot, they just kept winding me 26' up in my treestnd, it was like hunting turkey's as nervice as they were.

On a serious note allways wear saftey equipment when utilizing your treestand, that includes climbing up and down. I had a good friend fall yesterday afternoon and had to take him to the hospital :( . It only takes a second to fall and it could be a very serious fall, so be careful.

Hey Bowhunt, congratulations on Saturday's success. Twenty-six feet up in a tree? Is it a pine tree? How far was your shot? I too hunt from a treestand, only I'm 15 feet off the ground in a cedar. Saw many bucks. One was a toad, maybe 110". Been chasing him for two years. Thands for the info.

  5. well took a cute little one friday at 9:00am off a tank.passed on one first thing at 6:30 but was a little smaller.25 yard shot, he went only 30 yards or so.nothin like eating back strapps for dinner on the opener.I'll send amanda a pic. good luck to all.mike

Hey bowhunter, way to go on opening day!! Sounds like a good opening weekend.

  6. Speaking of trail cam pics, I am fairly new to this site and I've got some great pics of a lion and several nice pics of bucks from last Dec. One toad I'm after is a really good 4x4 (counting eye guards). Great mass and incredible G-2's. Friends I show them to think he is between 105" and 110"!!!!! I know he'll be even bigger this year. Could someone explain how to post them on this site? I'b be glad to share the pics.

  7. Hey. I just got pics back from my trail cam and new growth has started on several of the bucks. The pics are dated 5-11-05 so its been at least 3 weeks since the pics were taken. Plenty to eat and recent moisture may mean an above average year for antler growth!!!!! Any other pics out there show the same?
