Same here, killed in jan so now all I'm good for is an extra set of eyes in aug and dec. By the way I'm more than willing to store meat in my freezer for all the lucky ones who were able to draw........

X1000000! I need something to look forward to this year!

Wondering what you all are using arrow wise for elk. I shoot a 29" 70lbs bow. I used an easton flatline(30") with 100grn g5 montec for deer but not sure its the best choice for elk. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cody

Funny been looking to hunt out of state for year or two...been trying to save money...then they cut the percent of tags....now i'm looking at utah and colorado.....i'm studying and trying to understand there regs though. Head to idaho! cheap over the counter tags and a great elk population

I got an asassin for christmas last year and killed my first deer with it in jan. needless to say I really like it. I put a vapor trail limb driver rest and a spot hog real deal on it so far. The bow is definitely more accurate than I am and 100% reliable, other than the peep turning a little the bow has stayed tuned. If I don't get drawn for elk I will prob look at higher end bows this year but they will have to be pretty special for me to give up the asassin. Good luck

So true... Killed my first archery (first deer ever) on jan 4th and if I don't get drawn for elk I'm going to go nuts and broke on all the arrows I fling at jack rabbits! Hold out until dec unless you find a stud! I lucked out on my buck and would have shot a spike first chance I got but thats just me. Good luck

Awesome thanks for the replies. I know the bonus points aren't hunt specific but the draw deer archery hunt is foreign to me so wasn't sure.. thanks again

I know I know... I could probably find this out in the regs but I'm too tired and its too late and I'm sure some of you are boored enough to do the leg work for me Since I already killed my deer this year I know I can't can't kill another but can I buy a bonus point for the kaibab archery hunt??? Thanks for the patience

Thanks for all the input guys, my flatlines performed flawlessly and made complete pass throughs both shots on my deer and I plan on using them again for deer in 2013. I know my arrow is too light for elk just wanted to see what you all are using, have been leaning towards the fmj we'll see. I refuse to buy mechanical broad heads, just too much to go wrong at the worse time "merphys law" which is why I like the montec, nothing you can do to screw it up, no blades to replace one solid piece and they fly true. Any other fixed blade one piece construction broadheads you guys can recommend? Going to see if G5 makes the montec in 120Grn. I'm thinking the 340 FMJ with 2" feathers and a 120 grn broadhead. Hopefully I will even have a reason to worry about this stuff, I guess we'll all find out in a few weeks! Good luck to all and thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info! I did the KBB estimate and I am under what it is rated but not by 20K! I'm selling it for what I owe, well almost.

Need a pickup so up for grabs is my 2010 FJ Cruiser with "crawler" package. Rig has 37K miles. Color of rig is white. Asking $27000 Automatic A-Trac Rear e-locker Front ARB bumper Rear All-Pro bumper Parking sensors and camera Premium sound OME suspension Pro comp rims and 33 12.50 pro comp tires. Rig is in excellent shape, some pin striping on the outside but will get it buffed out. Inside is excellent, have custom seat covers in the front since I got it so no stains or tares in seats. The thing runs great, plenty of power and decent gas mileage. May take a partial trade on an fj40 or 45. Will try and get pics up soon asking $27000. Any questions send a pm,text or give me a call @ (928)308-0201 Thanks, Cody
