Sorry had to run out of town on a emergency. It's a Accumark. Around 150 rounds through it and has the fine duplex reticle.

I use a Copenhagen can to draw a bullseye for longer distances. I can keep everything within that Copenhagen size ring at 6 and 700.

    Spray Painted Game Cameras

Unfortunately people will always mess with your camera. We had all kinds of problems this year in N. AZ. I suggest hiding another camera to catch anyone that gets near your placed camera. When you go knock on their door and show them a picture of them taking your camera, they give it back right after they realized they crapped their panties.

    lion on trail cam

Lions travel a lot by nature. He may set up shop in your area, but chances are he will only be in there every now an then. Even if a lion has a kill close by doesnt mean they will be in the area. Sometimes these suckers will travel a long way from their kill just to lay down. You have to remember that lions have always been there and the deer herds are not yet decimated as people claim will happen. Its been my experience that although lions seem to prefer mule deer as thier food source, they wont pass up an opportunity at a meal of any critter. A lion has to kill to survive, so if he only hunted one animal it would greatly reduce its chances of survival. They make thier kills, but it doesnt happen every day. Ever see a fat lion? The best killer is a hungry lion. A deer a week! That would be a stud lion in a area very populated with deer. They will kill their share of deer during their lifetime, but everytime someone finds a dead deer it was killed by a lion. Lions get a bad rep from the doings of other animals such as coyotes. I agree, it could be a female, maybe a young tom, but these animals are known for traveling. As a lion hunter you learn some of the areas these animals travel through and play the waiting game for a fresh track when they finally come around again. Lions are out there, but there arent as many as a lot of people claim. 40 in a unit in 1 year! No. But if you know any lion hunters, they would appreciate a call if you ever get a recent picture or find a fresh kill. I guarentee it!

    A handy product!

I dont usually get on here and talk much about the products out there, but sometimes something comes out and I think "why didnt I think of that?" If you havent looked at it yet, google Outdoorsmans Reource Guide. I've used it for a couple years now. Just got the new one in the mail. This will tell you where anything and everything you need is for hunting or fishing. Just figured I'd throw it out there, I know a lot of people get on here and ask for info on where they can find something close to where they'll be hunting, this covers it. And no, I dont work for the guys that put it out, just figured it might come in handy for you.

  19. January 30, there will be a coyote contest in Northern AZ. Check in is going to be north of Ash Fork. This is the 2nd annual Curtis Cauthen Memorial Coyote Hunt. There will be a payout for the top 5 places, and the remaining proceeds will go to the family of a fallen DPS officer. 2 to 3 man teams. If you find yourself going through the area, stop and sign up. Must be signed up by January 29. Coyotes and foxes are 1 point and bobcats are 2 points. I'm not involved in putting this on, just helping get the word out. Good luck!

    Coyote contest in N. AZ

Pretty decent turn out this year in the "Curtis Cauthen Memorial Coyote Hunt". Just over 50 teams. The proceeds went to the family of a DPS offier that was killed in the line of duty this year in AZ, coincidentally on the same day Curtis was killed last year. The 3rd annual contest will be next year on the last weekend of January, in Ash Fork, AZ. Mark it on your calender and come on out! Next years proceeds will be donated to a family in need just as the previouse 2 years. They do pay out for the top 3 teams and small prizes for 4th and 5th. Next year it'll be a day and a half with a lunch on the 2nd day and a raffle. Anyone that is familliar with the "FCW Varmit Hunt" (Cookie Willet Hunt) that used to be just north of Williams, this is taking its place, since Cookie is unable to hold his anymore. It was a great time. Good luck, and hope to see everyone there.
  21. Heres the bucks we connected on this past year in the Burron Mtns. Took long enough for me to post! We had a couple whoppers in a tough spot we were trying to hold out for, but just couldnt make it happen. We ended up taking these 3 bucks ont he 4th day of a 5 day hunt.

    Coyote contest in N. AZ

I think I have a contact number at home. If I do I'll post it this evening. Redneck, you hit the nail on the head. I think anyone that knew Curtis will definitely show up every year they have this. Good luck!

    Solar Powered Rotor Rooters

Heres a few archery Javelina. Fun little critters to hunt. We glassed up one herd early in the day, but the wind did a little shifting when we were all just out of range and all the pigs ran off. Found another herd a couple hours later and were able to get three out of it. On the way out, we glassed up another pretty big herd. Fun hunt!

    Muzzleloader Mule Deer

We saw tons of bucks on this hunt, and almost connected on a couple pretty nice bucks. She even missed a pretty nice buck earlier in the hunt before she connected with this one at 180 yards. This was probably my funnest hunt of 2009!
