have u tried the sniper broad heads they are mecanical and provin to shoot most like a feild tip well they are even shaped liek on 1 5/8'' cutting diamiter they work very well for me and you get a lot more pass threws with them from my expericence. but thats only my 2 cents so good luck i shoot a reflex 63lb pull with easton carbon arrows with 100 grain broad head works well for me.

25-06, I have a winchester 25-06 i also used the rederal 100 grain nosiler bullets the do desrtoy my dad also has a rembington 25-06 and he used 117grainboat tail soft point made by hornady they group very well in both out guns. and i killed my buck with it last year ranged at 386 yards one shot behind the shoulder and her ran ten yards and fell over his self. i have tryed every brand of 25-06 bullets and the hornady 117 btsp are by far my choice but i change over in summer to 75 grain hornady sst for ground hogs but for deer 117 grain btsp

thanks Ernesto C. lol i dough i will get rid of this gun i am very fond of it. it is not a regular 257 wby mag it is a ruger m77 mark 11. originaly a 25-06 i have many gun smith freinds and some of them worked on it converting it to me they did the head spaceing and worke dont he bolt the gun shoots ver y well if you are interested in sometihng liekthat i would recomend it. thsi is the second gun i have had converd i had a 30-06 converted to a 240 wby mag used same bolt and all just got a new barrel and is shoots great to.. i talked to a guy that has a 257 wby he recomended 100 grain out of the 257 for whitetail deer the deer up here are about average going about a large mature buck is going about 200-230 and does aobut 145 160 lbs...i have a 243 and i would shoot them with 100 grain bulelt and they would run off i dropped to 87 and the drop inth ere tracks thats why i was tryin it same thing in my 25-06 so the 100 grain will stablize in the barrel better than the 87 is that what u were saying?,,,,, the barrel has 1:12 twist. im selling the 257 wby but i do have a 300 wby vangard with a murcurey supresor in it i paid 400 for it but the local gunshop offered me 1100 i think im gonan get rid of that one. jstu menching if your intrested.

Hi. i just bought a 257 wby mag with a 4.5-14 nikon scope. i lined the gun in 3 inchs high at 100yards i love how its shoots. but my shoots are aobut 400 yards 350 to 400 i hunt in pa on powerline cuts. i own a 25-06 nad it shoots ok but i wanted a lil more is the 87 grain bullet im using in my 257 to light some ppl have told me that that bullet will blow a hudge hole others have said i will lose to much energy and wont kill anyithng out there . Can anyone help me?
