elk are elk no matter what unit you are in. like you said, learn the unit. i have never hunted that unit but i would be there are good elk over most of it. i don't think there is much deviation in elevation for that unit. chase bugles...

thats why no more courtesy stops to the g&f for me unless i know the guy. if they want to talk to us they can pull us over. we had a bs ticket on the kaibab years ago. got dropped due to the office not showing up in court. i have also been told by a g%f supervisor that everyone is going to be doing something wrong at some point. they just have to catch you doing it at the time... wrong attitude on their part.

and guess who is the best coyote killer out there? mr and mrs mountain lion. we had a female a few years ago who had 13 confirmed coyote kills. just sayin.
