THAT is HILARIOUS! I would have been too scared to pull my head outta the bag if that happened to me! You always think you hear things when alone in the woods and it almost never is anything out there, BUT when there actually is.......there would have been several 9mm holes blown through my Butler bag and one scared Turkey! Seriously, I'm happy as heck for you guys....congrats! I'm gonna have you put ME in next year! They definitely ground checked some good critters....if 330-380 bulls and 170-210 mulies and 80+ muzzy 'lopes are considered "good" critters...oh I forgot to mention the dang coues bucks! And if you want to see most all of the critters I mentioned.....just pick up some back issues of Trophy hunter or Eastmans or get the next Trophy Hunter.....you'll see all of the critters I just spoke of! That would suck if the two extra tags you got were for the hunt I put in for and DIDN'T draw not yer fault though! My Bro-N-Law said that all the people he talked to today that are doing the draw sounded like they were barely qualified to flip a burger, let alone handle all these transactions! I would've thought G+F would have changed companies after the fiasco last year. JIM>

I learned....or actually I just remembered......there is NO reason to get excited for the draw results to be out.....the odds are SOOO astronomically against me I should just expect NOT to get drawn and plan for an archery deer hunt instead......at least while that is still an option! JIM>

Awesome pics.....I would love to see the whole process from start to finish....I know there is alot more to it than poeple think! I used to have a huge desire to learn how to do bronzes, but there were no classes offered when I was in college....at least for the short time I attempted college I stuck with the art stuff and lost interest because of how "computerized" most art stuff had become back then and the lack of "hands-on" skill involved. At least the computers haven't taken over sculpting.......yet! JIM>

Congrats to all you lucky guys! I have some scary news for ya though..... My Bro-n-law checked his CC online and on the phone, and both said no new activity! He then called his CC company today just for the heck of it, and they said that there was a company trying to charge $114 yesterday and tried to charge his card again today for $114.......and his CC company DECLINED both attempts!!!!!!! His CC company doesn't know why they declined it, said sorry and told him to have the other company run the card again!!!!!!!!!! He was REALLY lucky, he spent 2 hours on the phone with G+F and the draw people and he finally got them to agree to run his card again tomorrow! The G+F people told him that this happened to ALOT of poeple and they are running the declined cards one more time tomorrow! I would reccomend everyone that paid with a card to CALL their CC company and make sure they didn't decline a transaction wrongfully! Best of luck, JIM>

I have had this adapter for awhile and have used it twice and carried it in my pack several times but just never use it.......too lazy I guess I've always kept it wrapped up in a towel so it has no scratches or wear except for very light scratches under where the tripod mounting bracket attaches to it. It is not as heavy as I have eluded to on other posts here.... it actually weighs 30oz. The functionality of it is awesome and very easy. It works with any scope (angled or straight) and all point-n-shoot cameras as far as I know, and it can also be used for small video cameras! I have not tried the video camera on it, but I have some pic's of one, looks like it would work great. These sell for between $350-$400... and to be fair.... there is one on Ebay right now with 1 day left and it was up to $185 last time I checked. I believe I still have the original box and I will ship it free of charge. I am asking $275.00 for this adapter, and I can get some actual pictures of it if anyone wants....these are not actual pic's of the item for sale, but the item does'nt look any different. That would suck if they made that change! I would do rifle first and archery second if I could. I also feel that if I had to draw a archery tag, I would put more effort into the hunt. I usually don't becuase I have a rifle tag in my pocket for later, or it's in January and I don't want to end the year just yet. I would hate to see them take that away though! JIM>

You know, it seems more often than not i come up with same side sheds....and I've got a bald spot on the side of my head where I've been scratching it...wonderin' why that is? Awesome! It may just be me, but there is something different about finding a Coues shed or even just seeing Josh's pics of that one. I get more excited finding a Coues shed than I do finding a big brownie Elk shed and alot more excited than finding any Muley shed! Hey Josh, what determines whether or not you sell a shed or keep it? Do you keep all your Coues sheds? Seems like it would take a bunch to make any money off the little antlers. I'm with ya on this one Big is Big......and that buck is BIG ENOUGH! Shorty, I didn't get a good enough look....it was a picture at the SCI booth and I got most of the details....I immediately remembered this buck you photographed when I heard where it was killed.........wierd coincidence you re-posted the pic! I made it to the show and I'm glad I did! I first got to meet Coues n Sheep and his buddy Jason...them boys are some Coues killin' machines, I'm glad I finally got to meet them! Amanda is an awsome lady! She is even nicer and more outgoing than I had expected....would love to share a hunt with her someday! I also met up with some very odd fellers...one by the name Younghunter and the other went by the name...azhuntfornuts... I haven't heard of them before, but they seemed OK.......as long as you got past the smell! Seriously...David is a great guy and Christian helped out greatly with the AES booth! Good times! JIM>
