I think we all need to go back and read Adam's original post. Adam was not asking for opinions and condemnation about the distance he shoots. No, he was just like any of us that would be looking for a pick me up after not being able to find something that he just shot. He needed our support. He wasn't looking for a bunch of blow hard advice from you naysayers and know it alls. So, if you can go back, read his post and help, please help the man. If you cannot offer any help, please do not post here and save your hot air for some other site. If it was not for folks like bobbyo, coues 'n' sheep, azpackhorse and others, I would think this was some anti hunting site.
Good luck to you Adam and let us know if you are able to find the deer.

In addition to the valuable information you have attacehd, there is a video floating around on YouTube, comparing a number of broad heads being shot into a empty 55 gallon steel drum. It is a great comparative test, which lead me to start shooting Wac'Em broad heads.
thanks for the post elkaholic.

Adam,
I recently made the switch from mechanical heads to Wac'Ems. And, I love them. Best to you.
-
Adam,
You have a great attitude and I wish you the best finding your buck. And I also admire your composure in not stooping to personal attacks as others have attacked you.
Generally speaking, where were you hunting? I am in the field often and if possible, would like to give you a hand.

Beautiful work Jason. Please put me in line for six.
Thanks!

Wish I wasn't working! Weather conditions should be awesome if the wind stays calm. Good luck to you! Thanks Blake. Let's try to hook up sometime this season.

The snow has somewhat subsided and the wind is forecast to have blown out of the area for tomorrow. So, the calling up North near Flagstaff might be great. If you would like to join me for a half day of calling, please send a PM. Thanks.

Great post SB. I am glad you and FCW80 had such a wonderful afternoon. Those trips that meet any and all expectations will warmly live long.
I too will be down for the Mearn's opener, hunting for three days. Best to you.

Which model is $899? I can get a Sportical for $700 out the door. We are looking to get one for my sons X-mas/graduation present. It is a M4 look with collapsible stock, short barrel, two mags, sling, hard case and cleaning kit with the following is on the case: RFA2-PCAR-16. On the DPMS website, the rifle is the Panther Carbine A2 http://www.dpmsinc.com/store/products/?prod=1437
I hope this helps.

Hey ScottyBoy,
I am sorry to hear of your misfortune and hope you continue to feel better. Just think, in five years, you will probably still not be able to eat pizza and wings.
Hope to see you in the Mearns grass this season.

I support Obama, the last 8 years are one reason, the last 2 weeks are another reason, the next 10 years are the last one. Republican control of Congress over the last 20 years has helped to create the market situation we are in right now (see Phil Gramm/John McCain to know what I'm talking about), and no I don't think the current Democratic Congress is any step forward, rather I see it as a step back, they are pathetic.I believe that there needs to be a radical shift in this country's energy policies and economics. Instead of funding Saudi and Emirate princes' luxury jets, palaces, and toys (>$800 billion a year in oil export money), why don't we make some of our own energy -- and not the kind that gushes? The 'next wars' to be fought over oil are already being fought, why don't we remove ourselves from the equation?
Are you afraid of Obama because he is black? democrat? liberal? change? Bob Herbert of the NY Times had an outstanding OP ed on September 9th about being a liberal... How many of you have ever benefited from civil rights? women's rights? social security or unemployment insurance? medicare or medicaid? Are any/all of these things fundamentally wrong?
I'm not afraid of losing my gun rights or my hunting rights, there are too many democrats who back guns (and basically all republicans), and hunting is a STATE governed issue so it shouldn't matter that Palin hunts, what should matter is the difference of a heartbeat from being the most powerful person on the planet. Bush was a hometown people's-person who America felt they could connect to, look at how he did.
Tyson
Is socialism a radical enough change for you? Buckle up if Obama is elected.

I would like to and call a badger in this coming weekend, but I have never seen one while I was out hunting. I have heard there is a good population west of Wickenburg but I haven't had the chance to get over there yet. I have read to look for large dirt mounds, but again I haven't seen anything like this before. Does anybody know any good areas to start checking? DavidI forgot. You should try Badger Springs off I-17.

I missed the post but tripped on huntem's lack of class. As Tyler has exemplified in the past, I am sure that what he shared with us was accurate, professional and overall good. Thanks Tyler.
And huntem, if you have not figured it out yet, we do not care if you quit joining us during your times of bad attitude and crankiness.
