Located in central Arizona. Will mostly be hunting in around the mazatzals possibly flagstaff too. I do go down to the huachucas and around Sierra vista at times. I think I'm gonna get me a carver calls rabid rabbit and get good with it and throw in some fawn sounds too. Focus on ridgelines, long canyon draws and saddles to maximize odds. A beef cow calf in distress would be an awesome call. Thanks for the tips.

My dad and I got drawn for elk together this year. We have someone taking us out fairly familiar with the area. Looking for any tips or pointers you may be willing to offer not necessarily relating to which area to hunt. My plott hound is under my house in the pursuit of gophers. This will be the second day he's been under there. He managed to dig under cinder blocks when I wasn't home. I'm pretty sure he came out last night to water/feed by the looks of tracks and where his food bowl is. The crawl space is too tight and I can't get in there to get him out. What should I do? I know he is capable of digging himself out. Currently I'm just waiting for him in hopes of catching him before he goes back under. That's if he comes out. Anyone have advice for me?
