I don't believe that's the message Allen will put out. How else are we suppose to get the info out to the mass of avg hunter ? it ain't about bashing legal hunting. It's about the commercialization of our wildlife a public resource going to the wealthy and distorting or destroying the namc. Just to name a very small part of the message.

Donnie awesome post! I just wrote a post on mm replying to fon martins post about the Mohave sportsman club and basically said the same thing . I am a predator, I am a hunter I am both for so many reasons and I will never compete for that human right with someone that can buy their way to hunt. I am tired of them and our reps need to hear a strong voice opposing this . When can we get a large group to go to the capitol ? -
Southwest Sportsmen's Alliance

I think regional chapters would garner a lot of membership. I for one love the idea and want to focus on being in an org that focuses on conservation and it's members. Letting the members speak through polls or letters is better than paying out lots of money to a greedy parasite to sway politicians. That being said driving to Phoenix or wherever is not an option these days for meetings etc. I think more people would do this if meetings etc were held closer to their home . Just my .02 -

Locked gates on private or leased property
Bugler replied to gotcoues's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
It's frustrating. I read maps a lot more and if a ranch owner is leasing the land I will without a doubt cross the fence on foot to hunt. I don't drive on their private land or road I search for access where I can walk in. Some areas like in 32 and 31 I've played heck getting to where I wanted to go had a few arguments in the past too . I understand about people littering their ranch and that's bad but I don't do it and that leased land is as much mine and yours as it is theirs. I don't know if something could be worked out as it seems money is all anyone wants. -

Awesome Ryan thanks -
So why not have region chapters and join together with the desert group that being started and helped along by azgfd. I think their in region 4 if I read right . I'm in 1 . The leadership mainly Bpj has sat on their hands long enough and their credibility with me is shot to heck.

Maybe azgfd should start a new hotline 1-800-tag-thief. And we could just have em thrown in jail . -
That's why the bill was tried under emergency legislation. They know that the majority of AZ hunters stand against this crap just as they did against USO .

True but are the board members of both groups the same and with the same agenda? -

Awesome and thanks to CEI. I can say that up here in the white mountains Randy Gaskill is touting the AZSFW and their agenda to others although I'm not quite sure what he does I think hes on the board for them. Not green. JD -
Predator Control funded in Utah

So if the critter groups all pooled money lets say a third of what is paid to gilstrap at twenty bucks a head on coyotes that's like 5500 dead coyotes across the state. Then the other two thirds could actually go to building catchments and improvements. Funny when I typed gilstraps name in my I phone it autocorrected to goldstrap. -
John the difference is a group such as the AES isn't in bed with them still but you are. If you cannot publicly come out and say you or your org wants nothing to do with the azsfw criminals than unfortunately your org should perish. It's very sad because all of the work that has been done by the ADA and its members in the past. The ASFW does not represent the majority of AZ sportsmen period . Try and wrap that around your brain. Every I mean every person but one I have spoke to here in the white mountains that is the avg hunter had never even heard of azsfw nor their toxic and greedy bill. Because of your inability to distance your org or stand against what's wrong with the whole thing I will never spend another one of my dollars at the ADA functions. I'm very disheartened about that but it is a thing of principal that I must stand by for myself. I had hoped you would lead by example and steer this org away.

Outstanding . Chappell and Adams are two of the best in AZ. Thanks gentlemen it's obvious you are standup people and I will send business your way any chance I get. JD Pepper

Lark you got it right. Folks we need to send emails to everyone we know on our email lists. About the back door deals that have gone on and continue to go on about the commercialization of our wildlife. The next thing on their agenda is passing abill the would allow the rancher with checkerboard leased land to charge a fee to hunt on any of that property. Im telling you I can smell it, Think real estate laws, and lobbyists and anyone you might know that fits those descriptions that support this bill. Now before I get bashed, im all for the Rancher. Done cowboyin myself and love it as i think its an honest living and you just cant get any closer to the natural things as that. However The big places owned by the mega rich would stand to gain financially from that. Im just peerin into the crystal ball. Lets get all the sportsmen and women together by emails, phone calls whatever.
