A Yes vote on 202 will have the effect of taking the teeth out of the current laws championed by Rep. Russell Pierce. These laws are working in Maricopa County because Sheriff Arpaio and County Prosecutor Andrew Thomas are enforcing them. Not so much in other Counties where the Political will is lacking. I'll be voting NO on 202. EBB

+1 on P.L. Holehan in Tucson. I've been in his shop and he does good work, if a tack driver is what you're looking for. EBB

This should scare you to death

Well it won't play for me now but I have a rather slow connection here at the house. Here is the leader for the video I cut and pasted. "The Third Jihad exposes the war the media is not telling you about. It reveals the enemy our government is too afraid to name. One person who is not afraid to tell you the truth is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim American and former physician to the US Congress. After the FBI releases a radical Islamist manifesto describing how to destroy America from within, Dr. Jasser decides to investigate." Try this. It let's you watch a segment at a time. http://www.thethirdjihad.com/clips.html EBB -

I personally am very excited about the prospect of Sarah Palin as VP. Haven't much cared for McCain for years because he has been way too ready to reach across the aisle. I think when "concensus" is reached it's a really bad thing for all of us. Palin's reported lack of experience is a real plus in my mind. It's not a lack of experience but different experience she brings to the table. Far too many elected officials go to Washington with good intentions but then fall prey to the methodologies of Government as they work their way up into leadership roles. I want someone who remembers the values and beliefs of the "fly over Country". That is where I live, and I am tired of people who don't understand those values telling me how to live my life or making choices for me! I think Sarah Palin is close enough to those issues to help. I think there are ways to utilize the natural resources of this great land and improving the economy without destroying it. I think Washington is too far away to make local decisions that are best made at the local level. I would hope that the influence of a Governor so close to the land could bring about the understanding that it is possible to save "The Last Best Places" in this country without sacrificing "The Last Best People". Chicago and Delaware aren't going to get this done for me. EBB

I put a Timney on everything I want to hunt with! Can't go wrong with them. Been doing it for close to 25 years. Great product, friendly people, and for me, local. EBB

Without the 2nd amendment, all the rest are just words on a Document. I was lukewarm to McCain but I'll be getting a McCain/Palin bumper sticker as soon as I can. EBB

The one in front looks like he'll end up around 83" or so if his crab claws grow some more. The back one is about a 90"-92" buck. It's real hard to tell with the velvet still on. EBB

This whole PM-10 dust thing is really annoying. The EPA staffers sit in Washington and figure out ways to make our lives better for us. They pass dust regulations and pass them on to the State, who in turn passes them on to the County who wastes all of the time they have alotted. They then ask the State to help. Under the threat of losing the Federal Highway funds the State Legislature passes a Statute requiring all cities and towns in "Area A" to pass an ordinance to limit "Fugitive Dust" and the Statute has the requirements needed for the Towns and Cities. Absolutely no choice at the local level. BUt the State did it this way hoping that the municipalities would "buy in" as partners in solving the problem. All municipalities in "Area A" drank the coolaid. I live in Cave Creek and am on the Town Council. I voted no on both readings, but it passed 6-1. Until the States stand up to the Feds we're going to lose more and more. EBB

Hi everyone. I put in for 5 different hunt units and have never even been in any of them. I don't remember which ones they were so while you're all waiting patiently for G & F to release the results why don't you write about your favorite units and the locations where you have seen the most quality bucks. Also, these spots should ultimately be pretty close to roads as I don't like to walk much. With all the really good hunters here, I'm sure by the time I figure out where I'm drawn, someone will have covered the unit for me! Thanking you in advance, EBB
-
Bearbait Thanks, This is just the kind of information I'm looking for. I don't think those other folks are taking this serious enough. If the unit I draw is a double digit I'll for sure check this spot out. Is that 15 feet uphill or downhill? I do hate that to drag em uphill. Thanks for helping out, EBB

Thanks for the tip! Tell me do those 40A Bucks have one antler or two?? EBB

Must not have been in uniform Scotty, otherwise he'd a never let you get that close. EBB

I have just watched and listened to the entire video. I am at a loss to formulate an opinion. If what the man says is true or not, it is beyond our control. Better till the yard and save the canning jars just to be safe. EBB

Disk problems L4-L5 area. Spinal decompression at Tanner Chiropractic in North Scottsdale. Been nearly 2 years now. I can't believe how much it changed my life. It works on Cervical disks as well. The therapy is something like 87% effective. I'd sure try it before I let anybody cut on me. EBB

Spring Snow Melt and Global Warming
EBB replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Termites and cattle add a tremendous amount of Co2 to the atmosphere as well as methane. This adds to Global Warming. Now, since elk and deer are both ungulates, as are cattle, i was wondering. In the interest of cutting down on greenhouse gasses do you think the G & F Commission would sell me an elk tag (even though they previously chose to pink slip me), so I can help save the world? I'll even promise to step on all the termites I see while out hunting! EBB -
Nice Buck and good story! I see about 101 gross there. I'd take him for sure. EBB
-
I know a Guy went down to Sonora, glassed up this 105 on a hillside with no other deer around. This friend and his guide both agree 105 or so. They put on a stalk and put him down. Turns out he was one of those tiny bodied bucks too. His actual number was 88 and change. Hey, it happens. I thought this buck was 109 but nobody can complain about a 100" archery buck. I think he's an outstanding trophy. EBB
-
He is for sure a great looking buck. I see about 109 there. Congratulations Dude! EBB
-
I see 47" right, 53" on the left with maybe a 15" spread so 115 gross. EBB
