  1. Hey Everybody,

I got a heavy duty bumper or brush guard. No dents or scratches. Measurements are as follows:

    inside width 5' 5" overall length is 5' 8"

    Made with 3" steel tubing

Asking $100 will throw in a piece of coldrow steel (3'x4"x1/2") for welding for an extra $25. I'm located in the east valley. Not interested in trades. Pm if interested.

  2. Just as what has been said. It can be a tough hunt if you don't already have a game plan and know where to be (unless luck is on your side haha) I have found that the pack out is never easy.... when I am with a hunting partner and have pushed them hard I usually pack out alone anyway. I always make it a point to hunt with someone but see where you are coming from and you should be fine. Just don't put yourself in dumb situations..."Attention to Detail" is a phrase you might be familiar with ;)

Let us know how it goes for you!

  3. I put in all over the west each year just wishing to get drawn anywhere i can. In new mexico for instance i put close to 800 dollars on the line each year to get drawn for elk. I consider paying anything under 500 a real bargain to go elk hunting in any state including mine, and i hope that the tag price increases will decrease the number of applicants. I don't have a lot of money either so this isn't some kind of rich guy poor guy thing, so i hope this doesn't get twisted around on me by someone else. It's to hard to get drawn as it is , so higher prices tend to weed out some people from putting in including their grandmother's second cousin who married uncle bart so they can go for a couple of days. I hope there is a tag price increase every other year or so, just to curb the numbers off applicants if anything.

Yes it will WEED people out....namely kids who can't afford or who's parents can't afford the tags.

  4. This is ridiculous! I am sorry for name calling but these idiots have just pissed me off. I get that you have to raise prices (of any product) over time to continue to provide a service but this is just screwing all of us. Premium elk hunt??? Are you kidding me?

In this economy I have a hard enough time trying to pay for healthcare and gas now they want to raise tag prices. They should at least off set this cost by giving some free youth tags. I'm so sick of G&F's poor oversight and mismanagement

  5. Unit 1 & 27 gives you the best chance of shooting one as far as populations concerned (kiabab as well). I always seen a bunch in unit 1 its just a bit far to drive for me when I can buy a turkey at Fry's for a fraction of the price haha. 23 is just as good as any, water + food = turkey

  6. +1 to what has been said. Find a good vantage point and glass, glass, glass until they hit their beds. Those are 2 very popular units due to accessibility and they produce. Invest the time to go scouting now and don't feel like you are doing something wrong if you can't find em'. There are many seasoned bow hunters who do not tag out in those units.

  7. 6Anut ya camera still works. The last couple pics were with the crack in the lens protector so I just left it up there.

Yes it's a beautiful bear I am pretty upset I never saw it during the season. I am anxious to see some new growth on the bucks. I only have two hunting honey holes so I hope this one goes undisterbed for another season.
