Has anyone been hit today? I checked mine and still no hit. Congrats to all that drew tags.

Just by seeing the posts on here I'm thinking that there will be more card hits on monday. Usually you see a lot of people posting october, and november coues hunts. We'll see come Monday.

No draws for me or my family. I hope that they continue hitting cards. If anyone draws this weekend let us all know.

If it were me I would get the a higher power of optics like the 15x56 swarovski slc's, but if you don't want a higher power the 10 or 12 powers will work. Swarovski has excellent customer service. I sent my swaros in after they got smashed up from my tripod tipping over, and they came back as good as new for a small fee.

Flagstaff has a pretty good chance of rain Tuesday thru Sunday. This is weird weather for June.

Flag got an inch yesterday (Friday night) and thats not even counting Saturaday mornings additional rain. Bob, you better bring a boat on your elk hunt.

I know somebody that won and I was wondering if anyone knew when they would be notified? Also where to pick up the firearm if anyone happens to know. Thanks.

I agree with what 111 said. In 2006, they were able to start the archery hunts late when the elk really got to rutting good, and were still able to have the early rifle bull hunts afterwards. I like archery and rifle hunting equally and do both often. The early rifle and archery hunts kill great bulls every year no matter when they are, but the hunt with the more primative weapon should get first crack in my opinion. If they do this it will be taking the quality of 100 to 800 hunters tags per unit away for the quality of 5 to 100 tag holders per unit. It just doesn't make much sense to do this when early rifle hunters were already having highly successful hunts with great bulls taken. The early rifle hunts were already the hardest tags to draw now they will probably be even harder. I like trophy hunts but the early rifle hunt was already a trophy hunt and now it will just hurt the quality of the archery hunts. This will just be for satisfaction of the very, very, very few that will ever draw it. Not smart.

From what I can tell you can start putting in for deer and bighorn online now. I haven't done it yet, but when I went there and clicked apply for the draw they let you get started instead of saying that there is nothing going on. Edited: Yeah they had it up for a minute atleast but I guess they took it down. Maybe they were just testing it.

I'll take a guess, #2 the 350 bull? I guess #1 320-335. I can't even come up with a guess on #3 with that angle of the pic. Do you have another pic of the #3 bull with a different angle? My guesses are probably off but only you know.

A 350 bull is a big bull and a shooter on any day of my hunt.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but is this el nino forecast for the current winter in 2015 that is just ending or is it for next winter the end of 2015 going into 2016?

With this latest storm for the 15th Friday and 16th Saturday, Flag got 0.74 inches of rain total. Flag broke it's daily precipitation total record on Friday with 0.65 inches of rain for that date. Most of the snow stayed west and south of town, and Bellemont got 9.2 inches of snow total in the two days. Flag is now at 18.61 inches of precipitation since September 1st and is 3.14 inches above average. Just to give you the comparison, last year Flag was at 10.25 inches of precipitation at this time. Now I just need to draw a deer tag.

It looks like more rain coming your way.
-
It's up again. Hopefully it stays up for now on.
-
Yeah it's not working now for some reason. They had it up but I guess they took it down. Sorry about that.

With second season starting tomorrow I want to wish all of the tag holders luck. It looks like the lucky hunters that have tags will have decent weather conditions with moderate to light wind. No tag for me this year so it's good to see success photos to keep me going. I might go out with a friend that has a second season tag, and I will definitely let you know how the hunt goes if I get to go. Anyway, did any 1st season tag holders happen to bag a gobbler since Monday? There has been very little wind this week especially Tuesday and Wednesday.
