Many of you know the whole story with Jeff Paulson and all the bull crap that went along with him screwing over tons of people. Well his brother has frantically been trying to pick up the pieces of what jeff has caused. He is the brother in law to one of my very good friends so i was fortunate to be able to put a ton of pressure on him and also try to help out anyone that was wronged by Jeff. So i just wanted to come here and say Tom Paulson finally got my first ever archery deer today. Shot this buck in jan of 2013. He does amazing work and would like others to see he is nothing like his brother and will do everything possible to make things right. If anyone is still having issues with the mounts i should be able to help out. On the legal end, i will stay away from that. Thanks for reading

The new forest road management plan. If you don't have one you should get the new official map as to what is an open road. The new rules don't require a closed sign on a road to be closed. The road needs to be on the map as open to be open. That's how I understand it. Maps are free at the office or call them for one. No sign is a bunch of garbage in my opinion. My 2 favorite roads have gates on them that remain open but are closed according to the map. If you don't want me in there close the gate that's already there! Another ridiculous part is when you have to pack an elk 2 miles down a perfectly good road because forest service says it's closed. OUTRAGEOUS! <end rant> Wasn't there a bylaw where you could drive in to retrieve game on a closed road? But only to retrieve it? I could have sworn i saw something but could be wrong.

They are fired up in our neck of the woods too. Very hard to get a goods nights rest with them scream outside the cabin in the meadow all night long. Gonna be a great year, growth looks good and seeing some real nice bulls. Hopefully pixman will have some pics to share with you all here in the next few weeks from around here.

Like I said not trying to be jerk. Had hunters all around us also and someone told my dad hey there wAs two point around corner. Went and found a herd of 13 bucks. Just have to get out and around regardless of people. Actually people push them around and cN pattern them. Keep at it they are there.

Well sorry to hear that. there is tons of deer up there. I would suggest not driving so much and walk and glass. Went up weds to our other house with my father in law, put maybe 7 miles on my boots not 300 miles on a vehicle. Saw 20 plus turkeys, and 32 bucks in two days. Pretty eventful weekend if he hadn't missed 3 different times. Hope everyones hunts went well. P.S. not trying to be a jerk in this post but opening weekend is a nightmare up here with all the hunters and road hunters, you would be amazed if you go off the beaten trail just a few miles to what you will see
