There used to be 2 closed hunts in Az - ALL OF the Rifle Elk hunts and ALL OF the Riufle Javalina hunts , the rule was to prevent buddy hunting... The rule made it illegal to have a center fire rifle in the field durring these hunt's unless you possesed a tag for the closed hunt! Small game and predator hunters were still permited to use shotguns shooting shot and rimfire rifles durring the "closed hunts".... This rule was deemed unconstitutional ... There are no "closed hunts" in AZ now ... Whos to say that a guy with a big game tag has more of a right to hunt on public land than a rabbit hunter predator hunter or just some guy out and about and he decides to bring his AK47 along on his hike, technically you are not even required to have a hunting license to be in the field with a firearm!!! Just imagine how pissed of a deer hunter in 13a or 13b gets when some guy goes out calling coyotes durring his hunt of a lifetime!!!

The USA is falling way behind in education .... Is this due to to the teachers or the students? I hear of kids graduating from high school and still not being able to read and write! If this is an indication of how well a teacher can learn then 3 days of training in firearms self defense is about all any of these slouches could handle!!!!

Remember the "Rule of 21" when it comes to self defense! If your gun/weapon is holstered,sheathed or in your pocket/purse an attacker with a knife in hand starting from 21 feet away can close the distance and kill you before you can draw and defend!! Having a gun locked up in a gun safe is pretty usless! On this topic people who carry concealed or otherwise for defense usually do so with an empty chamber or even a totally empty gun - Just as useles as a gun locked in a safe!!! What are you wanting to camp in that area for! What are you hunting up there this time of year other than predators?? I have camped in the snow plenty using my wall tent a wood burning stove and propane heaters! Nice and toasty as long as the fire is going! I always take a chainsaw....We even have had a tent set up for hot showers ....Setting a comfortable camp takes a little work snow or no snow! Bivouacking in the snow for one or two nights is no big deal if you have a warm bag & a a tarp! Any more than that it will be uncomfortable!!!!!
