Nothing here I think point creep got us. 60% odds in our unit last year, 3 of us put in separately and no one drew.

Duwane is great Hunted Archery Elk with him about 10 years ago. He is my choice if I draw 12AW late. I have talked to him and several of the outfitters mentioned and am debating which way to go.

If you where going to hire a guide for the 12B late hunt who would you call ? And before anyone suggests a guide is not needed there are medical reasons this should/could not be done. Thanks

thanks guys I will make some calls I have 21 NR points And have been holding out for 12AW late and that will be my first choice ( odds still not good ). Looks like I should be able to get the 12B late as second choice. If i push it out much longer I may end up eating the points.

So what is everyone’s opinion on the Archery dates moving back this year I think the closing date will be October 1st. Will it help or have no bearing on rut activity ? Anyone think it will affect draw odds ? I’m Non-Res with 11 points and this unit seems to be right at my point total to draw.

Honestly this has been a great post to follow loved seeing all your pictures. As a Non-Res with just shy of max points I have planned on hunting 12AW late but after reading this even though it’s a long shot to draw I may consider putting in for the 13B Archery.

I have always read if you get a 13B tag you could shoot the Buck of a lifetime but Don’t expect to see a lot of Deer. looks like you are seeing all kinds of Deer including many Bucks.
