hunt4horns replied to 257longshot's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
step one: fill your truck up with gas, I thing thats what we all did on this site. step two: as someone else said drive your boundries and find road that lead to the type of invironment that looks appealing to you. step three: get out of your truck and find a high spot to glass from. step four: glass step five: move your location to another glassing spot and glass some more. step six: If you don't like what you see move your location and repeat steps one thru five. step seven: come back and visit us a little more often and tell us what you saw and where you saw it. (pics would be nice). GOOD LUCK AND PLEASE REPORT BACK TO US -

It would be nice to put up another little cheap one in the same place and have another one watching it from a remotely hidden spot to see if someone recognizes him and post his pic here on the site. -

One question db17, with all do respect how are you so certain that the guy who hit you was illegal because in your earlier post you mention that it was just your belief that he was. And yes that local law inforcement officer does have the authority to detain someone if he is illegal until Immigration and Customs Enforcement get's there. -

Theres always Outfitters there. Even if it was un occupied they do that to keep people out of there. Sheep started this past weekend I thing. -
Good job Ryan and congrats, even the deer looks happy for you .

Stop and ask yourself. "how many people do you actually really know that have been harrassed by Illegals. I have been more harrassed by other hunter thasn illegals.

Look at it this way, look at all the hunts you can do for 1800.00 dollar. Now consider a trip to Disneyland for your large family. You get a whole lot more of hunting done across the board then you would for a weekend with Mickey and for half the price go figure............

I never have like the little RODENTS very well and don't know of anyone who would mess with them.

Lately i have found more good buck around 3000 to 4000 feet eating on barrel cactus fruits. Hiding in scrub oak and holding tight. Almost to the point where someone can walk right by them. In fact i seen it happen. And I always looked for shade pockets typically North facing slopes however I think they like the sun a little too depending on the moon they had the night before. If they stay out late playing and feasting their gonna hit the sack very early and get up early and move around kinda getting a little antsy.

Great job kid, the smile on your face says it all. Congrats to you and many more.

Casey just keep doing what your doing and your gonna do fine. Every guide has had their first client and thats a fact . You've got to start somewhere even just to find out if it's actually what you want to be doing. Good job and good luck.
