P&Y pending world record

I'm just mad I don't have one. . Great sheep! Hope to have to worry about finding a guide to hunt one someday. -
12x50 swarovski EL V.S. Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56
bonecollector777 replied to corkin it's topic in Optics and tripods
What's your question? Haha you're not allowed to compare vortex Kaibab and swaro EL's. Not even on the same level. Some compare the vortex razor 12s and the swaro 12's but even then swaro wins. But do they win by $1000+ dollars? No they don't. If you use 15's mostly sell the Kaibab and buy the new swaro 15 HD's -
Sadly with 22 points your odds are microscopically better than guys with 0 points. Look in the draw reports and do some homework of which units are producing the rams you want and pick two and go with it. Your odds are all about 1% or less in any decent unit. Really bad units with small sheep still have like less than 2% odds. So unless your in max points pool flip a coin and hope you get lucky. Find a unit you know you'll be able to scout and travel to often if drawn.

Going for the full body mount with all the stuff you're selling? Haha you know it's a good way to jinx yourself being prepared to pay for a mount before the hunt right?

Anyone know Barry McCawkiner?

I think it's gonna be fun but super crowded. It's bad during august can't imagine during the rut.

You might wanna lie low for a while. You're probably wanted for murder. .

It's one thing if these guys were serious about wanting to hook up with the outfitters hot daughter. But it was a joke so . . Let's not take it so serious. And they weren't talking about your daughter. And I doubt there is any outfitter out there in the first place that's gonna bring his hot daughter along for the ride with a bunch of older men.

Easy tough guy. Pretty sure they were joking.

Whats your issue with making a very small, insignificant fee for providing a service that benefits other people who are also trying to make money? I am happy to have people who are making money from hunting and fishing paying more of the cost to manage wildlife. Seems like a strange thing to be upset about. I don't think they care so much about them paying a fee but the fact that azgfd gives out our names, addresses and tags drawn without our permission. And then to top it off they make money off of it. I don't believe in any of the application process it asks if they can solicit our personal info to whoever they want. And if it did 95 percent of people would say no.

Did the lion weigh 300 pounds or what? I've seen some pretty dang big cats get packed out of some nasty canyons. With the weather as warm as it was when he killed it I'm surprised it didn't spoil. AND we still want a pic
-
Wow, the mass on that 19 pound set is crazy! Fat all the up and to the ends of his points. Impressive for sure.
-
I explained in the original post that his main 5x5 frame is what's impressive. If you took a hammer and broke off his 3 inch fifth he would be a 5x5 with an extra on his right side off the fourth. Some may call his right side a 6 point because the extra but I personally would say a 5 point with a cheater. Guess it depends on the terminology you use. But yes technically he has 6 on his right and 6 on his left. But those little points are almost insignificant when you look at him overall. That's how I look at it.

That's the beauty of rifle antelope hunting. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Drive around. Glass, find one that looks good and blast him.
-
He is still out there! But unless he jumps the fence to our side he is gonna be expensive to kill. Came from the reservation.

I think what kept this bull from getting that high on weight is his mass up top is just average. His first mass measurement was really big at 11 inches and then his next measurement was 7 inches and the last two were just a hair under 7. Had he kept the real heavy mass until the top he may have hit 17. And he is missing some weight from not having fifths.

AND. . this is exactly why were hesitant to help people. Got what he wanted never to be heard from again. Wouldn't even answer my text about the lion.

Don't know if they are but I know pronghorn guide service is having one July 19th. Can't remember details but I'd imagine they will be able to teach more about antelope in one hour than azgfd has since they started.
-
Yes they do. I forget how much it costs but anyone can order the lists of all people and their address for specific hunts. I think it's a per person price but some outfitters could confirm that for me. Pretty sneaky and easy way to make some extra money for them. I don't know where it says they are allowed to do that but I would assume it's in the fine print somewhere.

Just got word from him he has the kitty in his hands. I'm sure they will post a pic.

Vaquero outfitters charged with chasing antelope
bonecollector777 replied to Explorer's topic in Antelope Hunting
I would assume so. Once charges are dropped I don't see how they couldn't give him his license back even if he doesn't deserve it. -
Just saw the post. I've got a buddy with good dogs out of Heber. I'll need to try and get a hold of him but if he isn't working I'm sure he would run down there and help out.

Tell me your experiences with September 3A3C archery bull
bonecollector777 replied to doublelung's topic in Elk Hunting
6500-7700 elevation is exactly low elevation but yes depending on the weather and how cold it is it could have an effect on the rut.
