It's usually pretty expensive. The original mold usually cost around like $600+ I believe. Then each set is like $300. Prices may have changed but call and ask would be the best bet.

It is available to everyone. It's under bonus point process when you click on biggame draw. You match up the hunt number on the report with the hunt number from the correct year regs. It's confusing but you can figure it out.

Basically going off of the year before you can look at hunts and see who Drew with how many points. You can see everyone as a resident with 11 points drew. So assuming a similar amount of people put in for a hunt this year you can see how many points will get a tag. Some years it may go up one or down one. As for 23s and 23n there is no guarantee at 9 points. While no guarantee to draw there are 12 tags that go random in those hunts. I drew 23n with 7 and my dad Drew 23n with 6 so you never know. For a resident I believe it was somewhere around 15 last year for both of those. But with so few tags only three are guaranteed to residents. There used to be one tag that could go to NR in the bonus pass in the past but now there isnt. No NR can be guaranteed a tag in 23s or 23n.

If you clicked on the post you'd see the record broken was the price paid for the tag. That deer is nowhere close to any records.

I'd imagine it was the ammo being loaded too hot? If you decide to go after the ammo company or the pistol company I'd imagine it would be tough to prove who's fault it was but if you wanna go that route save everything as it was especially the casing that blew up and take lots of pictures and contact an attorney. Probably not much help but info off gohunt.com shows trophy potential of 75"+ and average around 70" coming from that unit. 42% private land but a ton of antelope. Draw odds are 100% with 3 points in the special draw and isn't 100% in the regular draw til 5 points.

Found that out with my niece as well. Wanted to get her a bonus point but she doesn't turn 10 til November 27th. Problem with that is there are no antelope hunts after that and only really bad elk tags after that. So no points for her and no chance at her getting a decent tag this year.

Mid to end of March for charges usually. Then results early april. If everything goes smoothly.

Anyone else hear about this? Was checking my gohunt app and it says this is new coming in 2016? If so it sounds like they just snuck it in and didn't tell anyone about it.

Glad they changed it. Hopefully not too many guys gave up on it and put in for the units I do! Sucks it probably changed some people's minds and now they put in and can't change it back. Oh well.
