AT&T Service Coverage in the White Mountains???
bonecollector777 replied to rossislider's topic in The Campfire
I know they have a temp at&t tower in Heber right now at the fire station. Guess they are seeing how many people passing through the area have at&t and if they have enough they will put up a real tower. Not sure how far out that would help with signal where you are though. -
Nothing in 4b as usual but 3c has been going well. Lots of bugles in the morning.

Where I have been it's definitely started. Bulls fighting and bugling their heads off. Earliest I remember it. Not sure the real big bulls have started getting cows yet though. Lots of smaller bulls running with the cows.

Smoking deal!

Looking for a canvas wall tent. Preferably 10x14 or so. Am going to buy a new one soon if no one has anything they want to get rid of. Let me know. Thanks

I'd like to say it does because I have hundreds of dollars of it. But in reality I would say any dark colored clothing that had a pattern that's broken up rather than one solid color is probably just fine. My dad laughs at me because he says him and his dad wore jeans and t shirts their whole lives and killed more stuff than I'll dream of killing. No matter what you're wearing they will see you if you're moving. I think camo is necessary for turkey hunting though because they can see much better and can see in color unlike elk and deer.

Wow! Look at the tops on that thing. That fourth and fifth on his left side are amazing. Great video.

Does a molested monkey run better than a raped ape?

Since it was hit by a train I think to be legal you would have to report to azgfd and they would probably give it to you. Was it far enough along that the antlers aren't rotting?

Posting for a friend so please don't message me or ask any questions to me because I don't know. Text Jed for any questions 928-240-0221. 2 doors, back door is a fold down 5'×6' door. Would work great to pull a four wheeler up and then camp out of.

Man that's a rough day. What did you do?

Nice trucks, terrible gas mileage

Haha I'm dying here, who knew I could laugh about something so wrong.

I don't really understand why people get mad at other hunters for hiring a guide. People do it on regular hunts and Noone really cares but people get mad when an auction hunter does it. Would it be cool if they could do it all themselves? Yeah it would but realistically is it possible to kill a 436 inch bull or 150 inch coues without help? Maybe but probably not. I agree on the side that some guys just show up and shoot and it's kind of lame but in reality it's not a big deal. Although a lot of auction tag holders are rich I doubt they can just take off any given second to go hunt deer for three months. I know Shane is a dentist in Alaska and I don't think he would have many patients if he told them hey I need to leave for a couple months to scout for a deer hunt and kill one. They made their money and can spend it however they choose. 95% of us would kill to be in their spot with that kind of money.

From what I have seen and I'm not saying this is correct everywhere but generally I've seen it get hot and heavy in late August when bulls start getting cows then it can slow down for a while, kick back up middle of September and go til middle-end of october. After that it's pretty hit and miss where I have hunted.

how big do you think this bull is now
bonecollector777 replied to 5guyshunting's topic in Elk Hunting
We have pics of bulls just like that from June and by end of July maybe grew 10 inches. He didn't have much left after that pic. -
Far north, in Heber but looks like I may have the gun traded for now. I'll update if it falls through.

I bought this pistol for my wife for her birthday about two weeks ago. Bought from sportsman's for $375 and am selling for $300. She said she would rather have a bow. The gun has been shot 7 times (one magazine) so it's practically brand new. Comes with a 7 round mag, lock, and other random things I have no idea what they are. Comes with a little ruger carrying bag as well. Face to face only as I don't know laws on shipping a pistol. If it's legal to ship them let me know and we can go that route. Call or text Blake 928-240-3567

While taking my guides test last week I specifically asked about that rule. Any salt goes ( rock salt, block salt, table salt, water softener salt,) and then any livestock product that is salt based ( block salt) because other than block salt there is no other product made for livestock that is salt based. Any buck jam, deer cocain, trophy rock etc. Is illegal. Now it's only illegal to hunt over according to law. They tried to claim you couldn't even put it out to get pictures but I think that's crazy. If a random photographer wants to bring in wildlife to take pictures it's not illegal so if a hunter wants to get pictures it shouldn't be illegal either. But if you're caught hunting over it or near it they will give you a ticket. Even if you're not the one that put the product there.

Don't quote me but I've heard a certain individual received $10,000 for finding the auction bull about a month ago. He found him in 2013, lost him last year and found him this year bigger than ever.
-
Not really, just because the guy that bought it is one of the owners brothers doesn't mean it was a family hunt. I wasn't there but I do know they had multiple guides watching this bucks every move for days before the hunt, keeping tabs on him until the morning of August 15th when he could shoot it. Not saying there is anything wrong with that just seems like it was the usual show up and shoot deal.
-
You can use any type of salt you want. And any salt based product produced for livestock. Nice buck!
-
Anyone that buys it is obviously very wealthy and can afford all the help they need. I'd assume they do it to make sure they get their money's worth when they kill. It is kind of lame a lot of them are back at home and then get a phone call, hop on a plane, show up and shoot. But when you pay $100,000-$350,000 for a tag I think they should do whatever they feel like. If I had the money I'd probably do the same.

It has a license plate so yes it's legal. Not any different than pulling any other trailer down the road.
