Haha that's funny stuff. . Also the bucks may not have grown their horns back completely yet so may be hard to find a big one. I know they drop their sheathes in november/December but not sure how long it takes to grow back.
-
But yeah from what I have heard everything will be down a bit. Coyote may be alright if it's prime and good colored. Heard bobcat and fox will be down for sure. Not sure a badger has ever been worth skinning.

Just wait for Hyper to tell you all about it. He will either tell you all about what the prices will be since he knows everything or he will rip into you saying you can't ask general questions like that.

Nope he spotlighted it hyper. . That's why he took the pic at night and posted it for everyone to see! . . Of course he killed it right before dark! I think it was right at the 12.5 minutes after sundown though. Not 30.

He didn't die from what I read. Someone posted a picture of a kind of similar buck from colorado that was shot and said it was him. But it wasn't. He is a smart one staying in town!

Check out the nonpermit elk tags in the regs. There are about four hunts you could hunt until December 31 2014. Very limited elk in all the unit's available obviously but that's your only hope for 2014.

I have a 2013 creed that's 28/70 I've been thinking of selling. Was used for one elk hunt last year. If you're not stuck on the xs send me a pm and we can figure something out.

Haha don't let Hyper try and charge you. .

I live in Mesa. Closer to the west side but I would be willing to meet up and check them out for you. I'm no professional like hyperwrx claims to be but I get my fair share of stuff every year. I learned most of the fur handling part by helping buyers at some fur sales and they showed me everything they look for. Message me your number and we will figure someplace to meet.

AZ- How long before we hit Bottom?

They dropped some tags in a few units so the elk didn't go extinct. They didn't have a choice. -
AZ- How long before we hit Bottom?
bonecollector777 replied to coues32's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Some units have already hit bottom. . The rest are to follow. When $ is all you care about it doesn't take long to destroy some good areas. 3c is a good example for elk. 10 years ago you expected to see 400" bulls killed there on a consistent basis. Nowadays if someone kills a 350" it's a miracle. One perfect example of why jcubed is wrong is a conversation I had with a game warden about antelope tags in unit 4b. My friend had that archery tag this year and it was tough finding a buck over 80". We saw a few but not many. Overall we maybe saw 25 bucks over 70" in the unit and we covered a lot of it. I asked the warden why rifle tags were going up and why archery tags were so low? He answered that they need to raise the rifle tags so guys can be able to go hunting for antelope more than once in their lives. Since so few people hunt archery if there were more archery tags then guys would continue to put in for rifle and get drawn every 25 years. So to "fix" that or "help" that they just raise rifle tags so people can have a chance to hunt them before they die. Doesn't sound to scientific to me. Sounds downright stupid. When rifle tags are practically 100% kill success and you give out 25 tags this year and 30 tags next year it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize all the bucks are gonna be gone. But hey at least guys are getting drawn for their rifle tags they want so bad! If only they would do that with sheep tags. . We could all be drawn! -

If you're going to call someone out at least have something to back it up other than "I know because I have caught lots of bobcats and because I have never heard of a bobcat that big in az" I'm all for guys calling guys out if they think they are lying if they have some concrete evidence to back it up. Like estimated measurements of antlers etc. But because he thinks the guy held the cat out with his arm too far and blah blah isn't enough to justify calling a guy a straight up liar. And why should that dude get a certified scale to prove to know it alls like hyper? He doesnt owe hyper any explanation.

I'm guessing you and hyper didn't do lunch.Thankfully no we haven't done lunch haha

Coues & Turkey Down in Unit 22
bonecollector777 replied to Hyperwrx's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Man, just killing any small deer because you claim to be a bad hunter is almost as bad as killing small bobcats huh? Only hurting yourself and the deer population. No double standards Hyper.
