Problem is that it is a huge conflict of interest issue thatid G &F employee is still employed with the same company that he sued for 100k. I'm all for constitutional rights but that doesn't set well with me... Ok carry on I know I strayed from topic but I don't like jcubed defending the wrong in this situation. Jcubed has a bad habit of defending The wrong whtmtnman. At least if the wrong is AZGFD. While we see that The employee received the money because of being treated unfairly Jcubed doesn't see that the whole situation as a whole is a bunch of BS and that Wagner shouldn't be working there and that all invloved should have been prosecuted. He doesn't see Wagner had any fault and that AZGFD did anything wrong. Like everything else involving the department. I guess you could say We're exact opposites. He sees them as Godly and perfect and I see them as filthy and worthless. -

Haha there we go again trying to bring up something completely irrelevant to the conversation. What you didn't see is the 8 PM'S from other guys that say there is a lot more to the story about that buck. You don't see the many PM'S I receive after having conversations like this with people telling me thanks for saying what they wanna say out loud on here. If they don't wanna say it out here that's fine but I'm gonna keep saying it because I really don't care if people like yourself don't like it and try and make azgfd the good guys. Bottom line is I speak my mind and LOVE getting people like yourself riled up. Even if you won't admit it and secretly I think you enjoy it yourself. You can make your points and I can make mine. People can agree or disagree with us but I'll keep it comin' -

Hey now Jcubed don't go dodging my question what's your infatuation with the department? Wife work there? Mom work there? You dream of working there? What is it? As for the study more post less part you haven't given me a valid reason how that applies to this post. Instead you bring up your old arguments that you think you made a valid point in and instead show me that all you are is someone that will go to the end of the earth to defend the precious little azgfd. Then think because you throw some numbers around that it's gonna show people everything is alright and the department is doing great saving the world. Or maybe it's just because you're an attorney you think you have all the explanations and answers? I I'm legitimately curious as to what makes you so infatuated with them? Gonna get you an extra tag you think? Please explain. -

That actually went up on Fox News today so not too old of news. And I guess I should have used the word slaughter instead. Problem is its NOT only a few. It's A LOT. I agree if it were just a few it wouldn't be nearly as controversial and we could have a huntable population there someday. But fact of the matter is they are Being killed at an alarming rate. -

Study more? I posted a link to a news story . . What's there to study? Jcubed honest question. . What position do you have in the azgfd or which family member works for them? Or do you honestly just get that Warm fuzzy feeling acting like AZGFD was sent from God? -

is anyone watching the Commision meeting?
bonecollector777 replied to 4Falls's topic in The Campfire
Now he just said "that if the sheep in the catalinas happen to survive that success is secondary. The main goal of this committee getting together was to simply show that they could work together and come up with a plan and they have done that. So this whole thing is already a success even if all the sheep die." And then commissioner Harris came in and said the exact same thing that was just all about coming together for a good cause. Do these guys really think that people are now going to believe this was a good idea? Instead of creating a committee to show they can work together and carry out a specific plan using 30+ bighorn sheep why didn't they come up with a committee that didn't involve killing our wildlife? -

That Brian Dolan guy is an absolute idiot. . "it's hard for any one of us to take credit for this great idea of putting bighorn sheep in the Catalinas" WTH? followed by "there are a lot more lions in the Catalinas than we thought and that's why there is so much predation" Really? Then that comment followed by "I think having all of these lions is a good thing. . or bad thing depending on how you look at it." hahaha what a joke -
#16 & 17 Catalina Big Horns???

We used to have camels in AZ too way before 1990, should we reintroduce them? I read through the whole proposal and all it sounded like to me was tthen writing something up to make liberals and environmentalists happy. Between waiting to see which lions kill the sheep first and then trying to kill it and the thing about how they will handle a jaguar if caught Sounds Like A Bunch bunch of BS to keep other lion loving groups happy. And I think we already know how well the department does handling those Jaguars once they catch them. They do a great job! At killing them. . -

I agree, we agree that lions should be culled and managed. Someone obviously doesn't agree but yet they still throw the sheep to the lions. If they were attempting to kill the Lions or if they had tried killing the lions before there wouldn't be this problem. Who is even trying to come up with other theories of why they are dying? It's pretty clear why isn't it? -
They were kidding

bonecollector777 replied to gotcoues's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
I feel like somehow you are taking blame off of azgfd and trying to put it in the hunters somehow? Even the dumbest of us on here realize this was a horrible idea from the beginning. How did AZGFD not know it was as well? We would have been just fine without sheep in the Catalinas. We would have 31 sheep in other areas doing just fine. Seems as if azgfd did this because of pressure from environmentalist groups because even with as much as I hate them I don't think they are THAT dumb to just blindly throw in valuable sheep to feed the lions. But then again they are pretty stupid so who knows the reasons behind it. Why not get the sheep out and cut their losses before they lose ALL credibility with most of the hunters in az? -
NMGFD almost as crooked as AZGFD. . still lots of ground for them to make up though.

I'll have to disagree completely with what you said about 23 and 3C being similar. Not even close. The big mule deer thing has come and gone. What big bucks were killed there this year? Or last? I'm talking big as in 170" or bigger. Shane kourey didn't and neither did anyone else that I know of. As for the bulls yes every year one giant bull comes out of there. 23 has multiple giant bulls come out every year. 3c used to have multiple giant bulls come out every year. Just because one hunter kills a 400 inch bull doesn't mean the unit is a quality unit. 4b a couple of years back had a 400 bull killed there but the unit as a whole still sucks. Ask anyone that has hunted in there the past 3 years. There are some elk but nothing to write home about. I also feel it's just a matter of time before azgfd raises tags in 23. I already heard rumors but haven't seen anything suggesting it. Bottom line is yeah every year big bulls are killed in Arizona. Used to be a couple 400 inchers from 27, couple from 3c, couple from 1, couple from 23N, 23s, 9, 10. Now it's a couple 400 inchers from 23, 9, 10 with the occasional one coming from other units. 3c two or three years ago didn't have a bull bigger than 369 come out of there. -
They probably think it's you trying to put in multiple times for yourself I'm guessing? Which is dumb because it will accept as many people as you can put in with it before the deadline. Not sure why it wouldn't now.

Haha what's funny is my original post was nothing about the azgfd not doing anything to manage wildlife. It was just one more example of how crooked a state game management is. Then came the same azgfd lovers to the rescue defending the game and fish and then I gave my opinion about the game and fish. To desert tacoma no I am not working on a wildlife management degree it is just a biology. I have truly thought about going into the field of wildlife management but due to my open feelings towards the department I don't think that is gonna work out nor would I want it to as more time passes. To coues magnet congrats to your brother on passing up on my little bull to kill the big one. I'm jealous. Now prepare yourselves, I'm gonna say something you won't hear often. Unit 23N and 23s are managed well by the game and fish. There are lots of elk and lots of big bulls as I witnessed on my hunt. Wanna know why there are? Because there are 15 archery tags and like 15 or 20 rifle tags. That is great for the elk herd there. Now in all honestly I have seen way less elk and quality bulls in 3C but somehow they shove 150 archery tags in there every year. And even worse was 4b until they cut back a little this year. I bet there aren't more than 50 elk bigger than spikes in 3c yet they give 150 tags? 4b doesn't have 150 elk and deer combined in the whole unit and they give 150 archery bull tags. I have never hunted 6A but holy sh#* they gave out 2875 elk tags I'm that unit this year! How many elk can possibly survive that? It's the insane amount of tags they give out that is hurting the quality. I also find it interesting as the azgfd sees they are murdering off a lot of the elk they have cut a small amount of tags and the same year they raise tag prices. Hmmm. . Utah every year us having the same quality of bulls killed there. They have huge deer as well if you're looking for somewhere with quality as good as az. Now take a look at the antelope populations, they have been doing well but slowly but surely tags have been on the rise and before we know it we will be back where we started. 26 rifle tags in 4b usually means 26 dead antelope bucks. Problem is there are maybe 25 decent bucks running around out there. The bighorn sheep have been doing great only because of private organizations and any ground they have made up in the past five years is being negated with 31 and possibly more being murdered in the Catalinas. My point is that just because azgfd goes and puts some water tanks out doesn't mean they are managing the populations well. You can ask any and every hunter that has been in 3c within the last ten years and they will tell you the quality and numbers is down so much its astonishing. Same goes for 27 and 1. The only reason they got so good is the fire. Then azgfd raises tag numbers by the hundreds and quality is on the downhill slide. I agree putting out some water is gonna help some animals survive. But that's not the only part to keeping animals alive. First and foremost you can't have hundreds of hunters every year chasing a small population of bulls in one area and expect them to survive. (23 is the exception) I don't know about 9 or 10 never been hunting up there. Why do you suppose they give out so many tags? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ -
Now I agree with that fork horn. They have to eat and will kill stuff often. Including elk, turkey, javelina, rabbits, and I have seen them eat skunks, fox, and even bobcats from traps. They are opportunistic feeders and usually whatever they wander up on while hungry is gonna die.
