Happened in the 90's so that's not the same story.

Nope, your mom told me about that one. . actually Don is the one that told that one so ask him about it. I'm not quite sure what you were saying there at the end? Better get yourself an editor Outdoor "Writer". . just be careful what you start saying about my dad. Bring him into it and things probably won't go well. Bash on me all you want but bringing him into it will start a whole new ball game.

I don't let old tough guys like you get to me Rifleman. . you're the least of my worries. And ok let us know what you find out about him. It exists, just a matter of whether or not they are going to tell you it exists since they made a deal with him. Ask them about the sting operation when they tried getting another guy to poach a sheep and the AZGFD officer ended up shooting it and then tried getting the guy they took with them in trouble. See if they will tell you about that one too.

*SOLD* Mathews Switchback with accessories $400

    Bow is sold
  6. I have a Mathews Switchback that I am looking to sell. I bought this bow in 2005 and used it for 2 days on my archery elk hunt, then put it in the closet and used it again during an archery deer hunt in 2008. Then it was put back into the closet and has been pulled out very few times for practice since then. Not much use on it and in great shape. 30" draw length and 70 pound pull weight. Bow comes with Mathews 5 arrow quiver, trophy ridge 5 pin sights, limbsaver stabilizer, and whisker biscuit rest. Just recently put a string loop on it. I'll have pics up tomorrow but thought I would get this up for anyone thinking about buying a great bow.

You meant to say Mcbride huh? Tell Don to give me a call and let me know what I said that's not true. . I have a lot more stories to tell except this time the stories came right from his mouth so tell him he better think about it a little before coming to me.

Haha I'm not done yet. . just don't want to cause problems with a friend. As for you Rifleman and Ernesto I couldn't care less. So be looking forward to more And why are you writing me private PM's Rifleman? Why not come out here and say it? Who is McClendon and why do you suppose I would be scared of him? If he is AZGFD he can shove it

After looking back on what I said it probably wasn't a good idea to say I knew someone was doing this. I don't know for 100% fact but still have many suspicions. I should have said it was very suspicious and weird that these things were happening and due to all of the things together I felt almost positive it was true. But it is POSSIBLE it could have been a streak of good luck. I'll give that to them. I erased any of the comments accusing anyone of anything I don't know is a fact. I'll make sure to not do it again or say something accusing people without proof. I just have the tendency to write what I feel and it sometimes causes problems.

No worries about not getting drawn for me. If that's what AZGFD does to people that talk bad about them they probably wouldn't have many people getting drawn. That's what people said last time I brought stuff like this up that I would never get drawn and I got a 23N tag archery tag so I'm not concerned.

So here is the thing. . I could show you a video of a warden admitting to this and you would still come up with a way to make it sound like it was a lie. Nothing said will make you stop worshiping AZGFD and that's your choice. So continue to believe it and call them up for some questioning. But as nobull350 said do you really think when you ask hey do you guys give tags to guys who give you info he is gonna tell you all about it? haha so what it basically comes down to is believing what you want and I will continue to say what I feel and pass the word on of things I know or are suspicious whether you like them or believe them or not.

As for Don Mcbride yes that would be the one. He was a licensed guide back in the 90's. You know the one that helped poach a Bighorn sheep and got caught? yeah that's him. . The reason I know he was is because my dad guided with him back in the day and suddenly my dad got accused of poaching a cow elk out of nowhere. Turns out Don who had been caught poaching told azgfd he could get some names of people who poached in return they would take it easy and not take his guide license. He then told them if could give them more names if he got a sheep, elk, and deer tag. So that same year he magically got an early bull tag and a strip deer tag and told my dad he was going to get them before the draw even started. Didn't get the sheep because they said those were too precious to give away. Anyway turns out he had noone to snitch on and they were coming down on him and he just gave them random names of guys he knew saying they poached things. Which they of course didn't. But that's just one of the many stories I know about Don. You guys can believe me or not but this isn't made up stuff. I'm not out to tell on guys that I know that do this stuff for AZGFD (the only reason I said this about Don is because it's been 20 years since it happened) but I am out to try and make sure everyone knows it happens and to be careful with anything you do. Even with friends or random guys wanting to go hunting with you. They may have ulterior motives. And of course because I hate the money hungry AZGFD

Wow is how I feel too Elkman. . wow that so many people find it so horrifying and impossible that game and fish could ever possibly do something like this. Not sure if you were wowing that I said it or wowing because it's a bunch of BS they do it but wake up boys. .it's true.

    Tree stands/blinds

If it's up already sounds like rather than cut it down just hop in and use it? And if he shows up tough luck for him.
  15. bonecollector777

    Tree stands/blinds

If the guy has it there and uses it every year why would you wanna take it down?

    End Bonus Points!!

The system as it is is as fair as it gets. It's like getting put into a big raffle. Guys with more bonus points bought more tickets to get put in but does that guy always win the raffle? Just like my friend who at every hunting banquet we go to wins a new rifle or shot gun worth 600 bucks and I win nothing. Some people just get lucky. I don't think the banquet should stop giving him the guns and give them to someone else since he got one last year. It's just how it goes in the luck of the draw. If you want to hunt a bull that bad put in for a hunt with better odds. Top of the line rifle hunts are guaranteed at least every 15-20 years if you wanna wait.

I believe the AZGFD can do whatever they feel like doing. If they want to get someone a tag that person is getting that tag. I have seen it done and heard about it plenty of times. I think these random people getting drawn for premium hunts with <5% odds two years in a row for the most part is a coincidence and just good luck. On the other hand I know for a fact some others are being "rewarded" for their services to AZGFD.
  18. bonecollector777

    Once in a lifetime?

I could agree with that. There are so few tags for the things that a lot of people wait just as long for an antelope tag as a sheep tag. .
  19. bonecollector777

    End Bonus Points!!

Someone grumpy? Of all people how can you complain when you're hunting bull elk every couple years? Some of these guys don't get tags for 20 years and are patiently waiting. I don't see the big deal with how the draw is working right now. No matter what there will be luck involved whether we keep the current system or switch. Then you'll hear people complaining when they still aren't getting drawn. One of the few things I actually agree with AZGFD is the draw system. You can't make everyone happy. And it's amazing to me that someone like you who gets drawn quite regularly is the one starting a post about it. At least they changed the draw where we know that were getting elk and antelope tags by the beginning of April. Unlike in the past when deer, elk, antelope, sheep, buffalo were all together and we didn't know till July. Waiting 2 weeks after a card is charged to find out isn't a big deal. There are hundreds of guys who would give anything to have seen that charge on their card this year and would have been willing to wait 2 months to find out as long as they got to be out there hunting. Personally I think you should consider yourself fortunate with the amount of tags you get. With the current system if you want to hunt and don't care where or when there are plenty of hunts with high draw% and you can almost hunt every other year. If you want that once or twice in a lifetime rifle bull tag in unit 9,10,23N,1,27 etc. . then it should be expected to have to wait a lot longer to draw it. Yeah some guys end up getting lucky with 2 bonus points but for the most part those that are diligent will get the tag they want and when they get it will forget all about those years of not getting to hunt. Those hunts are once in a lifetime for a reason. . so basically no matter what people are going to get lucky no matter how you look at it. At least with the BP rule no matter how bad of luck you have at some point in time you no longer rely on luck but are guaranteed a quality tag and hunt you will never forget.

No disrespect but I would hold out for a better tag than 3B with that many points. A couple more years you can have whichever tag you want.

    17 points or more?

I cashed in my 7 points for the archery tag with the lowest draw odds of any archery hunt in the state (23N 2.67%) So you just never know when it's going to happen so hang in there. But was just checking and you're only 2 or 3 away till you're the bonus pass for 23N early rifle. From what I saw you need 19. I'm sure 9 muzzle loader is right in there somewhere so just stick it out a couple more years! Then you'll forget about all these years of not hunting when your 370"+ bull goes down.

    17 points or more?

I always get drawn before I get above 7 lol but now that you have waited this long don't give in! My friend had 12 and was tired of not hunting and put in for a late tag in some crap unit and of course got drawn and wasted them all.

    Antler Buyers?

Hey guys, I have been curious as to who you guys sell your antlers to and who you found that gives the best prices? I sell to a local buyer up in the white mountains that gives good prices but seeing as though he is the only buyer I sell to I don't really know what other buyers in AZ are offering. So what prices are you getting from your buyers and who are they? We find A LOT of antlers every year. A couple thousand pounds worth so most buyers go crazy when they can get that much antler in one buy. Just kinda shopping around for the best prices I guess. Thanks guys! And if you are a buyer send me a PM to talk about your prices.

    3C?

PM sent, but the southern border is the White Mountain Apache Reservation fence.
