If you know you're applying for 22 and 24b why are we even having this conversation? I asked a legitimate question as to how old you are and how long you think you can still hit the mtns. If you're 75 about to die then best be applying for a lesser quality unit. If you're 50 and in good shape and have another 20 years in you then stick with 22 and 24b and you'll draw it eventually even if it takes 10 years. But if all 60 or whatever people with max are going for 3 tags in 2 units you're in for a long wait.

    Stage 3 fire restrictions

My wife fell in love with the house. Loophole, that I can get a certified arborist to send a note to the county stating a tree is sick and needs to be cut. My brother is a certified arborist. guess I meant what rule or what conditions were in place to even have that as a possibility when I bought it? I've never heard of something like that.

Curious why you would sign something that keeps you from doing what you please with your property?

    Stage 3 fire restrictions

isnt it not burning naturally the reason these so much fuel in the first place? Its hard to understand that the small town folks seem to think only they are responsible enough to use the forest. The rest of us are the tax base that pays the lions share of operations and maintenance cost right? If we start a fire here it burns our house down. It doesnt burn yours down. So naturally those that have more to lose than just the trees are going to be more careful. And were more inclined to want it closed so there isnt a fire no matter who starts it. Also last I checked when the forest closes we all are locked out of it so not like they are letting locals use it and out of towners can't.

if i thought i was gonna die and the only way out was to start a signal fire id make a rager like that lady did. lol the gila valley? two 500k acre fires started by small town people, just saying. Small town has nothing to do with appreciating the forest and wanting to protect it. And an Indian wanting to make a buck doesnt exactly fall under the category of someone that appreciates the forest and wants to protect it. I'd guarantee statistically most human caused fires in AZ are from people that live off the rim.

That feel when a lady from the valley started the Chediski Fire and the guys that started the wallow fire are from the Gila VALLEY according to you. A better description would have been a flatlander (anyone from south of the rim in AZ)wont follow the rules because the ones that have fires dont give a F because they can just go home and not worry about it.

    Stage 3 fire restrictions

I dont remember any road ever being closed down during a hunt where I hunt. And if a road closes to avoid burning a forest down that's fine. While you might follow the rules it's just a proven fact that just enough people from the valley wont follow the rules so they can't chance leaving it open. Too many people that have no emotional ties to the forests up here and if it burns down they'll just pack up and go home and go to a new spot next year.

    Wild Horses???

Just found out today when the apache sitgreaves closes on Wednesday south of 260 the horse lovers were able to sneak in a special permit from someone that allows them to continue to haul water. All the while not even forest service employees can enter the forest. Wtf? I'd like to kick someone right in the balls that allowed that.

What to do ,11 points ,Res.

Not to throw a wrench in your plans but the 27 late hunt isn't all its cracked up to be. Even guided it takes a lot of work for the big bucks. Personal opinion dont do it.

    Stage 3 fire restrictions

I hope they close more than that. Otherwise the idiots will head west and burn down my favorite lake, Bear Canyon. I'm sure the FS is going back and forth on keeping the Rim lakes open, but they're playing with fire, no pun intended. Most likely those rim lakes will be closed as well when these other forests shut down. They dont want the whole valley coming up to the only spot open and overloading it.

    Coconino NF CLOSES certain areas

Apache sitgreaves is going to close down the whole forest most likely if the other forests shut down as well. Its gonna send an insane amount of people from the valley over this way and overload it here so they've said most likely the rim lakes areas would close as well.

How old are you? And how many more years do you expect to be able to get around? Someone else can probably clear this up but I'd assume 24b wilderness only let's you hunt the wilderness area as the 24b south let's you hunt the wilderness as well as the outside areas mostly east and south of the wilderness area.

    Stage 3 fire restrictions

As of right now state and BLM land in Navajo and Apache counties is closed. Partial closures of the apache sitgreaves goes into effect tonight I believe. Supposedly from showlow to the rim past forest lakes everything south of 260 is closed. They are releasing more info tonight.

did they say what the helI is going on with their draw system? Gonna be three months from deadline to results. I had no charge but still haven't received an email.

    Wild Horses???

if they ever legalized it I'd be the first volunteer to shoot every last round of ammo I owned into a horse. Until then all we can do is pray they die off on their own.
  19. bonecollector777

    Wild Horses???

Let em die. Elk and deer are likely and able to move and find water elsewhere. Those horses wouldn't be facing this fate if they allowed the forest service to remove them. If this is the only way to thin the herd I hope it doesnt rain for 3 months.
  20. bonecollector777

    Wild Horses???

That's B.S. if they take them water. Let the bastards die. They arent supposed to be here.

    Apache-Sitgreaves Forest Closures Imminent

That's why they are closing it down before the weekend. I believe they will come out with the specific areas today. The shoot in clints well may still be ok because that's the coconino forest and I dont think they are closing yet.

How many non res elk points ?

Exactly what I said in my post. Jay reaches many more people but atleast it's a once a year thing. Shane throws a 3c hashtag on every dam post he makes. Jay does it to help Daniel Franco who is his friend but I'm sure Shane gets his fair share of clients from it as well and I'm sure he loves the exposure of 3c. Either way all of it comes together to definitely screw up the odds.
