The bear that found the fawn
PelaPapas replied to rancilio's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Funny that you mentioned aluminum foil in bear scat. Was out this past sunday chasing some deer and walked up on some coyote scat with what appeared to be foil in it. -
Anybody here use the AGC bino harnesses? I'm looking at both the K.I.S.S. and C.U.B. (compact models. Both look nice but trying to decide on one.Right now I am using the S4 lock down x harness. I am really wanting a bino harness that keeps the binos 100% covered. I would like to keep my range finder in one of the pockets the AGC offers on these. Anybody here have experience with these any of these two models? Any info is appreciated!

Man what a year! Congrats on all those trophies! Black bear is something I've always wanted to wrap my tag around, one day....

Dang, looks to be a heavy buck. Congrats!

Great buck man, congrats! Love the mass on his antlers.

Kelney - Alaska guide creations offers a bino tether they sell for $10. Fits all models of their harnesses. My KISS model came with it and couldn't be happier with it. Also the newer AGC harnesses have the hook/bungee system. Which can be used one handed. I think that's a huge upgrade from the buckle system.

I carry vortex 10s around my neck in my harness. I used to pack out a 20-60x60mm spotter out with me all the time, but I would get eye fatigue real quick. I decided to try out some 15s, and glad I did, I can glass with those all day. No need for a spotter for myself now. I'm not one to "score" a buck. So if it has antlers (Fork or better), its filling the freezer! I went with a pair of the Vulture 15s. I really do enjoy glassing with them and was happy with what i paid for them. Amazon has good deals on them.

Well I ordered & received the AGC K.I.S.S. model w/max pocket on bottom and the bino tether straps. Man this thing is nice! Took it out the box and the quality is excellent. I'm really glad I went with the KISS model over the CUB. Even though both are compact models, I wanted the most compact and simple set up. The CUB looked nice with its extra pockets but seemed a little too big for what I wanted. The Max pocket at bottom easily holds my havalon knife with blades & fire starter. The two side mesh pockets hold my GPS and wind checker and I have my range finder in its case hanging on the chest strap like I did with my old S4 harness. This harness/pack is really comfortable and it keeps binos 100% covered.

I went ahead and got me the KISS model with max pocket on bottom. I wanted my binos 100% covered/protected but still wanted to keep it as compact as possible. So I got the smaller of the two. Thanks to all for the input!

I hope they are ok out there.
