I'm new to the trail cam world and looking to set one up. I found a spot down south that I would like to set up a trail cam. For the majority of you who put out trail cams do you lock it in one of those steel security boxes, or does the cable/lock seem to work ok for you? There is a lot of deer sign in this spot and also some sign from crossers (Shoes/Hats/Jackets), nothing too new. I'm just wondering if the cable/lock & a good hiding spot for the cam would be enough to prevent my cam getting stolen. Any input is appreciated...

I have a S&W M&P 9 full size up for trade. It is in excellent condition with low round count.I myself put 100rds through it (I am the 2nd owner) & the original owner said he put 60rds through it. When I got it, it looked like it had never been shot. It is still in excellent condition. It will come with all original/factory items. Case, 2 Mags, manuals, & all back straps (Sm,Med,L) +1 additional Med. back strap that is stippled. I will throw in 100rds of WWB 9mm to the deal. Looking to trade for a Glock 17 (gen 3 or 4) in same condition. I have AZ DL & CCW if needed... +++++ LOCATED IN TUCSON +++++

Thanks for the great info Greyghost. Only problem I run into is finding a tree that big to hang it off of. There were only smaller mesquite trees in that spot. Thanks again for your input.

2-3 times a week. I try to shoot any chance I have right after work but it leaves me with only 15-20min or so of daylight to shoot. So I make the most of the weekends with any free time.
