wdenike I'm thinking that maybe they weren't 20's maybe I was mistaken I know they were similar to the Kaibabs. rossislider I have a pair of Nikon Actions I have had for a long time I bought my wife a pair of vortexs of the similar magnification I prefer mine over heres but just used to them I think and I run a Vortex viper scope and looove it. I keep thinking about getting a pair of razor and a spotting scope to really get out there but can never make up my mind. Norteno I have to totally agree I love the Vortex warranty its what has made me buy them in the past guess I'll have to try and look threw them and maybe go backa nd talk to the guys about them when I get a chance

So I was messing around Sportsmans and saw a pair of 20x56 pair of nikon monarchs and there was also the vortex kaibabs. My question is has anyone compared the 2? The nikons were about half the price of the vortex I was curious to look threw them and ask questions but the 2 people behind the counter were pre occupied.

Guess it depends on what kind of range you want could go a lot of ways. Long range set up or short range out too 200yrds could build a course for 3 gun could do a archery range where you walk around n have different 3d targets at different ranges (which I think would be awesome) all depends on your imagination I would imagine.

Does the 17 have the same ballistic as or better than the 22mag? I know the 17 is faster but impact wise how do they compare?

Love mine can't remember which one I have other then orange handle. Just be careful there sharp as all heck cut n poked myself n didn't even know it. Also be careful I broke 2 blade in half processing my deer n skinning it.

I'm no expert but I would think after hunting they would be moving around more looking for gut piles but then again all the people n gin shots might make them hesitant.

I think they should do a mature doe hunt for juniors only not sure about 100 tags but a few would be nice. Seen a lot of old does that wouldn't let the younger does get near him. There's just as much meat on a doe as a buck and hunting back east kids don't care buck or doe all about time with family and always get excited explaining the hunt.

33 was a hard hunt this year n I agree too many tags for whitetail and mule deer need to leave the unit alone for awhile n let it come back. Also agree ain't right for the youth hunt to be after 3 regular hunts deer have gotten a lot of pressure hope everyone's kids like to walk. Good luck on your boys hunt.

Was excited for bow hunting in Dec but tagged out last night n even chomping more now then before.

Mine got hit put the wife in for rifle n me for archery.

Love my yeti have the 65q thinking about getting a bigger one tho. Always put the food in the yeti n ice usually stays for a few days the more you open it the more the cold air comes out. But it still keeps stuff cold put a frozen turkey bottles of water n sodas and sandwiches on a road trip. Grabbed a sad out of it and it was half frozen n drove all the way to Missouri the turkey was still frozen when we got there. I vote yeti bit be prepared to fork out money like everyone says.
