That was Bass Pro Shops, but still funny! KP

Great store and great people running it. I've rented a couple pairs of Vortex binoculars, and I recommend them highly. I'm sure I'll be seeing them again in the future. KP

HUNT UNIT MAPS???
kphunter replied to willhunt4coues's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Hard to find a good topo map that cleary indicates roads. Best bet is to pickup a forest map for roads. KP -
Vortex makes high quality optics, check out the Vipers. They now have a 15x50 version which is very nice and compares to higher end optics.

I fished Roosevelt last weekend and crappie fishing is still slow. Only caught 1 crappie and 1 bass trolling. Leroy Price caught 10 earlier this week, so maybe things will pick up some in the next few weeks and hopefully the wind will die down. KP

I don't know about you, but walking in stocking feet amongst cholla, catclaw, and other spiny vegetation isn't my idea of a good time. For $30, you can get these felt sneakers that attach to the bottom of your boots: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...+&noImage=0 KP

As far as a Japanese truck, I like the look of the Titan. KP

When Dwayne had all of the binocs out on tripods, did you notice a big difference in the different types, magnifications, etc.? KP

Anyone wanting to go to SC and catch a bunch of crappie, I'll filet 25 or 50 of those beauties! KP

I need to get up there, like this weekend! KP

From what I've heard, just LO hunts. KP

Also, take a look at the Alpen brand especially the Apex or Shasta Ridge lines. Very good glass at an excellent price.

Hey y'all. Check out my bull tattoo!
kphunter replied to DesertBull's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
That's awful, but just imagine all the dried up little old ladies with tatoos who are going to be around in 35-40 years. Yuck! You hit it right on the head! What will be really funny is seeing those wrinkled old petunias with everything else sagging but the implants! KP -

Amazes me why people stain their bodies with that crap! KP -
Kevin: It was good to meet you yesterday. The 8 gal. compressor is great, I've already filled up 4 tires and a couple of basketballs with it. I think I found the air filter, it's on the top of the motor. If you end up finding the manual, shoot it off to me. Thanks,

I killed a cow elk on the 'rez that topped 500 lbs, but this one looks a little bigger. Any idea on weight? KP

Looking at getting a hand gun
kphunter replied to IHunt2live's topic in Handgun Hunting for Coues Deer
Gamehauler: I have a Taurus as well. Have you noticed on your cylinder tiny burrs from the cylinder stop (I believe that's what it's called)? I took it down to the dealer, and he said it was normal to see that as most revolvers have them. KP -
Looking at getting a hand gun
kphunter replied to IHunt2live's topic in Handgun Hunting for Coues Deer
I agree,.357 magnum. Ruger, S&W, or Taurus if you want to spend a little less for basically the same gun. KP -
hunter4life: More or less, the coloration of the deer looks more like a coues than mule deer. But the tail and big ears are all muley! KP
