I hope it cools off soon, I got a rifle elk tag starts friday and I want to hear some mad bugling before I kill a monster bull. I havent heard any bugling yet in my unit(2a), O did I forget to mention it came with a free rifle antelope tag???!!!LOL Ron

Keep after it, you will find a buck. I have a rifle antelope tag and have been scouting at least 2 times a week since I found out I was drawn. Like you say, the rut is just barely getting going so the big boys will come out. I was in a valley last evening with water, knee high grass and perfect cover that just had to hold several nice bucks. We glassed it for over an hour with nothing in sight. I too have seen lots of antelope in my previous outings, with an unusual number of fawns. I find it odd that you arent seeing any in your neck of the woods.Maybe less moisture out your way. My son had the same tag last year and we didnt see any fawns, but there are at least 4-7 in each group of does we see this year. I do have one nice buck spotted that is an area where no one will see him, probably go 82. I'm hopin to tag him at first light. when I do, I hope to post some pics.... U know, I almost bought a trail camera this spring, But was worried about it dissapearing. It sounds like u guys get them taken from you regularly. I think im gonna keep my 200 rocks and buy something else... Although I really would like to try out them trail cameras someday, If and when i get one, I'll just have to put it way out of the way. Its too bad whats happening in our state with all these people anymore... Ron

Where are you guys seeing these 15X56 swaros for the best price? I am in the market for some possibly. I am tired of trying to win the set of them in the sheep drawings and such. I bet Ive got 1/3 of the cost of a pair of new ones in the tickets Ive bought over the years. I would like to see a pair for around 1400-1600 bucks. I already own 10x42s and wouldnt trade them for anything. On a tripod they are the best, but I need something alittle stronger, like the 15s. If somebody could post a link it would be great!! Good God girls, if you pay attention, you'd have noticed that I said I would trade for a Rock River Arms .223 EOP rifle, You can pick these up for quite a bit less than what the list price is. That was the whole idea. $1100 was just a match for the list price. Although its still worth Quite a bit, not everyone "has a bunch a Pre64's". As far as being a featherwieght, That makes it rarer in my opinion. If I had time to drive down and piddle around at a gun show I might. I work 50 hours a week and dont have the time to mess with that. The scope is on there, I dont give a sh!t what its worth. Ive often thought "If the numbers are so low,Why dont they close the season for one year?" Same with Quail. Back off them for one year and see how many they rebound with. If the game and fish dept could afford not to issue deer tags for one year, they surely wouldnt do it because of the loss of $$ they would sustain. How bout it? How many would give up deer hunting for a year to see if they could bring back the deer numbers? Also, Why kill the does on the kaibab? How bout move them to where we need more mule deer? It dont take a brainiac to figure that one out...... Ron

I would say very good. Its got a blemish near the end of the barrel that looks to be a little rust at on time. I have shot it and it shoots like a dream, action is in great shape. also has an old weaver scope on it. It could use a new stock, as its got the original one on it. Ron
