Tried the Swarovski AX Visio? Smart Optics for Birding & Beyond

Recommended Posts

Just came across the Swarovski AX Visio, and it looks wild.

They’re binoculars with built-in AI that can identify birds, mammals, and even insects on the spot. You also get photo/video capture, GPS, compass, and a “share mode” that points the next viewer right to what you spotted.

Available in a 10x32 configuration, the binoculars offer the perfect balance between magnification and portability, but the kicker is the price—around $5,000. Reviews indicate that ID accuracy is fairly solid (and improving with updates), but the device is somewhat bulky and requires some adjustment.

So I’m curious:

  • Is this the future of birding/wildlife watching, or just an expensive hunting gear?
  • Would you trust AI in the wildlife adventure?

Anyone here tried them yet?
