Unit 31, AZ
I went down to hunt unit 31 for the first time and what started out to be a javelina hunt turned out to be a whole lot more special. I saw this coues buck on the opposite hill at about 300 yards, so I backed out of site and came up on the back side of the hill he was on. There ended up being 2 bucks, one of which was a mature buck and then the one I shot. Anyways, the little one fed to within 70 yards of me and the bigger buck began to go the opposite direction, so I decided to kill the little guy. After the hit, he went about 80 yards and then expired. This is my third coues deer and my first with a bow. My two rifle coues scored 106″ and 108″, but due to the experience of killing this one with a bow using spot and stalk techniques, I would definitely say that this one was more special.
