I've got a similar pack that my kids have outgrown but I haven't been able to let it go yet. Any and every young dad needs one of these. I started putting my kids in around 4 mo to get them comfortable for a few minutes at a time. It ended up being the best place to keep them safe in busy places and key for much needed naps. Yours looks light compared to mine, good luck with the sale and congrats to whoever buys this.

I was extremely fortunate to pick up this 1986 Johnson 9.9hp outboard from Sam. He was an excellent seller and I appreciate the ease of communication and transaction. Thank you, Sam! The motor was purchased with no questions asked and with similar experiences restoring/maintaining 70-90s OEM outboards, I ordered the anticipated service parts. When I hooked up the fuel for the intital test, fuel spewed from the inlet to the fuel pump. Instead of the entire fuel pump for an additional $60, I had ordered the fuel pump repair kit betting the rubber diaphragms needed replaced. If you don't have youth motor skills with your hands, you may be better off getting the entire pump, the springs suck. YMMV. Fuel continued to shoot after the fuel repair kit. It ended up being a crack on fuel filter cap once the kit was installed. No biggie, another $11 Luckily, a 1976 4hp I own shared the same cap I found cracked and testing continued.. 20240422_185635.mp4 Immediate fire and glory, but nothing out of the tell-tale. I removed the water outlet and it was clogged. Even after, still no water in the outlet. I have the water pump and carb kits ready to deploy through the week, more to come. Thanks again, Sam.

With shifter in forward position, it took six 3/8" bolts to drop the gearcase and one 3/8" bolt to remove the shift linkage to get to the water pump today. The old water pump and driveshaft have some wear but the impeller was in good shape. Found the shaft key below the pump (likely culprit). Regardless, all cleaned and replaced. Runs excellent for no carb work or spark plugs. Those and gear oil change left. Stay tuned.. 20240424_190416.mp4

What Round would Sell Best?
CouesPursuit replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
No disrespect but I'm not sure the cartridge is the issue. Not many buyers want a bare used rifle right near the cost of a new one or to be forced into a package-only deal that includes substantial factory ammo and reloading components, most want one or the other. OP, I would steer clear of the 6.5x284 in the short action, picking whichever cartridge that fits your purpose (i.e. bullet) and not worry about resale yet. Good luck! -
Pm sent on Johnson/Evinrudes, thx.

Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm pistol-sold
CouesPursuit replied to Shooter McGavin's topic in Classified Ads
Great pistol, I'd just upgraded models. Put mine at a good price like this without the extra mag and it didn't last long. -
I wouldn't say that. They could be right under your nose, not nearly as active as the does or just over one ridge today and back where you were today, tomorrow. There is a waxing moon and end of January approaching, good times a comin'. If you're seeing a lot of does, it isn't worth relocating IMO. Right now bucks migrate to what you've described you've found.
-
You're closer to finding bucks than you think. I'd go just beyond where you've seen the most does and keep tabs on any you find.

Great buck!

I hear "crappie are being caught at" and now it means nothing with livescope being used so heavily. Happy New Year Bassslayer. That 40HP you sold me on this site is still running like a champ.

I've seen a few whitetail on the edges of sheep country in recent years. Always trying to hunt outside the box, I decided go in with intent to fill my '23 archery tag or get my butt handed to me and let go of the idea the terrain is worth hunting. Yesterday, I didn't even get to glass the more predictable deer country as a small 3x3 coues was spotted in the gentliest terrain on the sheepy side of the mountain. He bedded down at 730am right in the open. I decided to get aggressive under the cover of rain. I turned 1000 yards into 66 yards in 30 minutes and picked the perfect rock outcropping to pop out around. 20231222_082625.mp4 The rain had scent locked down and while I was comfortable to not be busted immediately, 60 yards is my coues limit and my gut told me this deer was not going to get up and feed towards me and the rock ledges. Turning 66 into 60 without cover took an hour and a ton of patience and frozen moments as he would snap his head in my direction. Finally, at 61 yards, he got up and as he shook off a gallon of water, I drew and released an arrow that went lower than I'd of liked. The soaking wet drop away felt significantly slowed my arrow prior to release. Thank goodness for the Lumenocks helping me understand this quickly and when he stopped at 100 yards to understand what hit him, I put my slider on 130 and put him down hard. I ran up and put another one in him as quickly as possible. Not the greatest part of the story but one of my favorite things about this forum is reading lessons learned. With everything soaking wet, this will go down as one of my heaviest pack outs of all time, in sheep country!

Thank you. Just a cheap amazon umbrella I bought a few years ago for my real sheep hunt so I could scout in the summer and keep the sun off me. It sticks into the top of my pack if needed but I used it to protect the lenses of the 15s from getting wet and over my stuff any time my pack rain fly was off. I knew there weren't any breaks in the weather yesterday, it was one of the best pounds I carried.

Nothing like a fellow hunter costing me more money, thank you for sharing my man!

I'm 100% positive it was the felt on my drop away that really screwed up a shot for me yesterday at 60 yards. I hit about 3-4" lower than my confident point of aim. I will be looking for a fix ASAP as the rest of hunting in the rain lended to the stars aligning.

Maybe on that mountain yesterday but definitely not!
