  5. Here is a new product to help eliminate glare while you are glassing. These are rubber flaps that attach easily to any binocular and they eliminate any glare coming into your eyes at the sides. You know how you always have to pull your hat over to one side to block the sun while you are glassing? Well, this is much more effective way to cut that light coming into your peripheral vision. They fold down out of the way when you don't want them up. check them out: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/eye_shield.htm Amanda

    EyeShield for your Binoculars

well, you can fold these eye cups down, but I am not completely sure how they would work with the regular issue lens caps. My guess is you would be better off taking the eyesheilds off when you have lens caps on. They go on and off really easy.

AES Banquet Article In AZ Central

That's a great article!! Nice to see some sportsmens groups getting great press!! thx for sharing that Jim and thanks for your work at the banquet!
  15. Forum member Ben Brown pointed out to me that I had made the contest specific to AZ, but that would make it hard for our members in New Mexico or California or Utah or other states to be eligible. So I changed it to be inclusive of all states.

    Cause of Death

I think a lot of the carcasses found are from wounding loss from during hunting seasons. Some are from lions, some natural dead from an accident or perhaps disease. Most deer/elk don't die of old age, but from hunting and predators. As has been said, if you find the carcass buried in leaves or piled with sticks/dirt, then it is likely lion. If you do some searching online you can find pics of lion kills to get a feel for how to tell the difference.
  25. Just a reminder to you all that in order to enter the contest, you have to post about the events you attend. Please read through the directions in the first post above. I started a post on the main site listing those that have entered so far.... I will keep a spreadsheet updated with entries and so if you see that I have missed something, you can email me the link to your post and I can update the entries list. I know many of you attended the AES banquet last week, so make sure you make your posts about that so I can enter you in the contest. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/2013/03/wildlife-conservation-challenge-entries-to-date/
