CouesWhitetail replied to COOSEFAN's topic in Javelina
WOW!! that is so awesome!! That will definitely be a great mount! did you keep the skull and did you happen to age it? I wonder how long he lived being bright white like that! -

Where do they post the leftover Javelina tag info.
CouesWhitetail replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Javelina
It's in the Big Game Draw area.....you can always google this kind of stuff to find it, that's what I did. http://www.azgfd.gov/eservices/documents/leftovers-spring.pdf -
Sorry I missed you! If you had stopped in the middle of the day we probably would have been there since it was so darn hot that weekend!!

Any suggestions for a taxidermist to mount a Badger?
CouesWhitetail replied to bonecollector777's topic in Taxidermy
I suggest you start with the taxidermists that sponsor this site.....They do excellent work!! Go through the list and view their work either in person or on their websites. See which work appeals to you and then give them a call and talk about what you want. Taxidermy work is very personal, so make sure you look at prior mounts they have done and evaluate their work for how it looks to you. here is the list (in alphabetical order by business name) Devin Beck Arizona Wildlife Designs (in Tucson) http://www.arizonawildlifedesigns.com/ Clay Goldman Mogollon Taxidermy (in Payson) http://www.mogollontaxidermy.com/ Jim Hartsock Southwest Wildlife (in Scottsdale) http://www.swwildlife.com/ Bud and Gavin Weller Weller's Wildlife (in Tucson) http://www.wellerswildlifestudio.com/ Dale and Heather Robertson Wild Heritage Taxidermy (in Young) http://www.wildheritagetaxidermy.com/ -
just an fyi....one of the coverts is 129.99 (just under your price point).... it's a very small camera with great battery life and performance. It's the Covert CA4.0.

Excellent!! Thanks for sharing the hunt with such a great writeup and pics! -
I use the Jim White adapter for my 15x56s and love it. It's less expensive than most others but very well made... it's also lighter weight and smaller...you can get it in the CW.com store.... http://store.coueswhitetail.com Outdoorsmans adapter is a great one as well!

Wow, glad he got fixed up and the $240 actually sounds pretty reasonable for emergency work like that. Did you go to Dr. Eubanks? that's who we use and he is great.

Team Young Gunz Women's Coues Camp
CouesWhitetail replied to YOUNGGUNZ's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
It was a GREAT camp!! The ladies enjoyed it and were surprisingly successful given all the HOWLING winds that weekend! Many thanks to Steve Clark of AES and his crew for stepping up to cook for everyone at the last minute. We had some excellent food! BBQ sandwiches, steaks, steak quesadillas and more! Some of the hunters from last year's women's javelina camp actually volunteered to help on this camp all weekend! Special thanks to the Toot family for their help! National Wild Turkey Federation helped out a lot as well. Carl and the rest of team Younggunz did a stellar job locating bucks and getting the ladies on them! It was an excellent event and if anyone of you are interested in helping next year, I highly recommend it! here are a few of the pics I took over the weekend. -
I am glad Wellers can fix the horns for you! Congratulations on your buck!
