My husbands makes these fairly often...they are YUMMY!! He puts onion, peppers, and spices in the beer (cheapest beer we have around at the time) and then that steams the chickens and provides some tastey veggies to go with the chicken. He uses apple wood to smoke the chicken too and that's awesome! here is a pic of him and our neice when he made it for them out in Maine.

Donnie, I moved your post to the wildlife project section since it fits best there. I won't be able to make it, but I hope you have a great project!

I use high all the time, but that's because I like seeing all the critters and not just deer/elk/bear. Normal should work fine for most applications. It's a great idea to set it up in a spot that isn't facing a bunch of weeds or branches that will wave in the wind....otherwise you can get a lot of pics of moving vegetation.

Preston up in Page sent this pic in. He requested really large stickers and put them on the side of his truck. Looks cool!! Thanks for the support Preston.

Unique Sticker placement....looks Cool!!
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Sticker Sightings!
Luckily he already had thought of that and ordered two (one for each side) -
Might just be a stick pointing up from the ground that makes it look like the hen has a beard?? It kinda looks like it's hanging a little far out from the body.

It probably would work, but the camera manufacturer only guarrantees that the 8 GB cards will work. There seems to be some variance in brand reliability in the higher GB cards. So since not all the larger cards will work, they decided to just say up to 8 GB. Also, sometimes the cameras can become unstable if a larger card is used. However, sometimes it will work fine. Guess it's up to you to try it or not. It might void the camera warranty though...

Looks like I will be heading to Mexico to hunt Gould's and I was considering using my bow. I am wondering how many of you archery turkey hunt and if you have any tips? What broadhead do you use? Which shot placement do you prefer (facing away, strutting straight on, side shot?)? Use a blind or not? Camo fletching on your arrows? Which facemask do you use that doesn't interfere with drawing and contact points for your draw?
-
I really don't want to have to paint my face, but I don't like having a mask interfering with my anchor points and such. I am looking for suggestions on a mask. I bought one for archery elk hunting years ago that is tight fitting but really mostly covers my head/neck, but not all of my face.

Ilene is in New Zealand right now hunting and she gets back late April, so I am sure she will have some tips for you.
