Ok, I hope you are sitting down, because you might just fall down if you look at these.... These were found by Waylon Zagotah about 12 hrs ago on the White Mtn Apache Reservation! Harold Declay is holding them in the photo. I will be posting better pics soon.... WOW!!!!

Jeff asked me to share this pic with you all. He says it scored 127 3/8 and was shot in Nov. Jeff has been trying to kill a monster buck like this for 11 years. Congratulations Jeff!

Joel Presmyk asked me to post these for him....said the pics don't do the mass justice. he found this shed while looking for elk antlers. The eyeguard is about 5.5 inches!!

Just wanted to say thanks to AGFD for getting the online application process up and running smoothly. I found it really easy to apply, didn't even need a copy of the regs since they have the hunt numbers and hunt info listed. So this serves as a reminder to get your applications in....today is the deadline!!

Guys, I encourage you all to come to the meeting on the 21st. I really believe we can solve more in face to face meetings than by shouting over the internet. If you can't make the meeting on the 21st, there will be many more opportunities for you to come address the ADA board at our monthly meetings. You can also submit comments in writing and email them. There is a phone number and email on the ADA website to help make it easier for you to contact the organization whenever you want to express concerns or volunteer to help. And I encourage all of you with such passion for wildlife, to get involved (if you haven't already)and stay involved. We can accomplish more working together to build something than we can tearing each other apart. There are many outstanding wildlife conservation groups that you can support. Or if you don't want to be a part of a group, do what others have suggested and donate money and volunteer to help the AGFD. There are so many ways that you can get involved. If anyone needs help with this, please feel free to contact me.

I recently measured a giant velvet Coues buck and I figured I would share the pics with you. Steve Sullivan killed this buck a couple years ago. I won't post the score since I would like to do a guess the score contest on it later, but for now I wanted to share the photos of this buck and some other great trophies he had on the wall. First the giant velvet coues...can you imagine shooting a buck like this with your bow?? WOW!. And here is a really cool buck that his aunt killed many years ago. She said the buck had a club foot on the side opposite the deformed antler beam. This is common that a significant injury on one side of the body can cause deformed antler growth on the opposite side. And here are some neat elk, antelope and a bighorn. Steve said the antelope that shows the splayed horns actually was spread out even flatter before it got mounted. I think that's a cool trophy.

What an amazing talent...a real God-given talent and it is truly sad that she was lost to drugs. I was always hoping she could turn her life around and we would get to hear that amazing voice again. I hope that Adele with her amazing talent doesn't end up with the same problems. Wow, that woman can sing! She is one of my new favorite artists. You gotta love an artist that can command an audience without all the fanfare and just stand there and sing.

Again, I will say that I think posting this type of request in a forum is not the most effective way to set up a meeting with the ADA board. I have given you John's contact info so that you can set up a meeting with him or have him set up a meeting with other board members. John has stated he is more than willing to meet with you prior to the meeting. If you want to present information to the board, I suggest you call him and arrange a time and place for that.

I completely understand your last statement. But I think if your goal is to get the ADA to renounce it's association with AZSFW, that it would be much more effective to come to a board meeting and express that. I encourage everyone here to get involved. Kent and everyone else, would you be willing to serve on the board of directors for the ADA or some other group? John and I have posted the need for new board members for the ADA many times in this forum over the years and got very little response. Get involved before these or other issues come up. Be proactive. If you don't like the direction the ADA has taken, why not work to get on the board and help change policy?

It sounds like you wanted to meet with John prior to the meeting and also have another meeting with anti-sfw folks. That's fine with me, but I will be out of town this week and so I am not the person to set these meetings up. I sent you John's phone number this evening, and I think it would be a great idea if you guys met before this meeting. John is more than happy to meet with you. Regarding the anti-sfw meeting, you can always use the forum to organize that if you like. I thought I had posted the point of the meeting was to have a chance to give your input to the ADA board regarding this whole issue. I can't guarrantee what the board will do. So I can't promise you a decision will be made that night regarding AZSFW. Personally, I would like to see the board come to a decision on AZSFW. I know that most of the board doesn't come here and read these posts, so if you have questions and want answers, the best way to do that is to come to a meeting. I try to answer questions the best I can, but I don't always know the answers and I can't speak for everyone on the board (and neither can John).

I can't speak for the entire board, but obviously we will need to rethink our relationship with AZSFW. So I suspect that we will come out with some sort of clarification of our relationship with AZSFW. I had hoped to see that sooner rather than later, but I am just one voice on the board. As far as I know, there are no other groups than the ones you listed have publicly pulled their support of AZSFW. That doesn't mean they won't do it in the future. I think all the other groups are waiting to see if AZSFW is even going to exist anymore and if it does, if they are going to put in place new policies that would make the group more transparent and more accountable to the groups that fund it. Again, I am not on the board of these other groups, so I can't really say for sure what they are thinking.

I guess I missed several of your questions previously. and I am not sure what different platforms you suggested either...I guess I need to go back and re-read your posts. but I will PM you John's number and you can call and speak with him. Perhaps that's the best way to make sure you aren't wasting time at this meeting.

We've already been blown off... Kent I am curious why you say that considering the ADA set up a special meeting and specifically invited you all to come give your input. That seems the opposite of blowing you off to me. If you want to have some input on ADA policy, I encourage you all to come to the meeting. I think more can be solved in face-to-face meetings than on the internet.
